Wii-U is looking wack. It's pretty much like stretching the current generation out another 5 or 6 years. The only reason to get it will be for the rehashes of Mario, Donkey Kong and other Nintendo franchises. I AM glad that you can now go back to playing games with the normal controller. I'm not a fan of motion ocntorls at all.

Ok 1 game may be enough to hold you down but a lot of us want more than that.

I havent seen a single thing from Nintendo that makes me want to drop 300 bucks on their console. They have to prove to me they can get 3rd party games consistently, have an online system that isnt complete garbage, and step the level of their 1st party games up. Yeah, both Wii Zeldas were wack, that last Metroid was ass, tripping alone damn near ruined Brawl, Kirby had enough difficulty for a 4 year old, etc......

Hold the fukk up, you going overboard now son, Wii was weak with all the kiddie/family/workout games and shyt but them Zelda games, Metroid Prime and Brawl were off the chain. Cmon son, Nintendo got it on lock when it comes to 1st party games.

You gotta be real about it, PS3 is the better system of the 3 but wii had some really great games on there amongst the ocean of bad ones. and Wii easily had the best platformers out of the three.

But its a worthwhile comparism anyway, since it looks like PS and Xbox are trying to really stretch out thelife of their consoles. If Wii-U doesn't do well, it will be christmas 2015 before we see PS4 and Xbox720. If Wii-U does well we will get those systems sooner. Im hoping Wii-U does well, at least enough for the other next gen to come out.

There's no way the next playstation and xbox are going to be near the wii u in power. There's a reason Epic is developing UE4 for the new xbox and playstation and crytek the new cryengine for both and not the Wii U.

Im not talking about Metroid Prime 3, im talking about Metroid: Other M, that shyt was garbage. Twilight Princess was WEAK and it was boring. Brawl was cool until i started losing matches because my character falls over randomly when i try to dash, oh that and the netcode being some of the worst in video game history. The Mario Galaxy games are the only franchise that actually stood up to the pedigree the franchise was known for.

Honestly the launch games are looking legit. I think that conference left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Rayman Legends is exclusive for now, Super mario is guaranteed piff and it's a few other good ports on there.

why cause it has a bunch or ports of games most gamers have already played? Mario looks like a rehash of the several other NSM titles.

News | June 8, 2012 - The central processing unit (CPU) of the U Wii is as powerful as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but the graphics processing unit (GPU) is one and a half times as strong. That is what an employee of Ubisoft stated to Insidegamer.

Ubisoft provided this information from a gameplay demo of Assassin's Creed 3. The editor of Insidegamer noting however that the game is on Wii U currently less good looking than the other consoles, with less detail and less constant framerate.

This can still be solved; because the Wii U is a new console, developers are still getting used to develop for the device. According to Ubisoft Assassin's Creed for Wii U will, at the time of release, be of the same quality as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

And?? I haven't played AC3 yet. I haven't played all the DLC for batman. I haven't gotten around to certain games and I'm sure others haven't as well. As for Mario "looking" like a rehash, lets play it first before we jump to that conclusion. NSMB DS and the Wii version "looked like a rehash" yet it had enough differences to be it's own game"

I'm saying though, games will at best will be looking like Uncharted 3 quality graphics if the devs put in work. This type of hardware can produce PS3 level graphics and ps3 graphics are good to me.

The star wars 1313 game was said to be running on UE3. The FF luminous engine is said to be scalable.

These are good enough. Also I'm sure that the actual Wii u Zelda will look roughly similar to that going by the past tech demos they showed.

Graphics ain't fooling me this time around. I love amazing graphics but Killzone 3 was wack as fukk and it looked good as hell. UC3 had a wack campaign yet it looked breathtaking.

That's cool and all, but everybody knows a bigger upgrade is coming when the real next gen consoles drop.

I doubt WiiU's graphics will be shytting on games like The Last of Us, God of War 3, Gears of War series, Uncharted series, Heavy Rain etc. If this was dropping last gen then it would be different. But I'm not hype over playing current gen ports with a cool hud/map screen tablet as a controller
