Honestly the launch games are looking legit. I think that conference left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Rayman Legends is exclusive for now, Super mario is guaranteed piff and it's a few other good ports on there.

All I see is Tekken and Super Mario.

No sports games either :childplease:
EA just announced they're coming out with Madden and Fifa to it. Also I just posted NBA 2k13.

Nothing announced yet, says CEA John Riccitiello.

EA does have plans to bring its sports games to Wii U despite pretty much ignoring the new console at E3.
Whilst Ubisoft showed off a wealth of Wii U games, fellow third-party publisher EA provided confirmation of just one Wii U title, albeit Mass Effect 3.
However, in a conference call with investors last night, EA CEO John Riccitiello said the publisher has "a number of sports games we're going to have on the platform that we haven't announced yet".
Activision too was lacking in support for Wii U, with Skylanders Giants the only confirmed title from the Call of Duty publisher.

People acting like PS3/360's launch was Halo,Gears, Uncharted god of war when it was a bunch of old gen ports.

Be careful with that "launch window" phrase. Those companies look at all those titles and date them accordingly. Will cop a year after release, I'm treating the Wii u just like I did with the Wii...better have 5-10 games I want to play that I cannot play anywhere else.

Btw, launches are not any indication how a console is going to do. Sega's launch of the dreamcast was epic and was dead in 2 years.

Nintendo obviously has the money to keep it going longer, but they have been looking :flabbynsick: since 1996. There have been maybe 30 titles TOTAL that are only available from the N64-Wii that I wanted to play.

Whats the point of this thread?
The point is that a lot of good games are dropping at launch(ish) for the Wii u despite it's horrible E3 presentation. Likewise with the Vita at E3.

The few titles on the Wii that I played and or want to play have always been AAA type games. The things that turned me off from them was horrible online and horrible graphics when playing on an HDTV. The Wii U seems to have corrected those mistakes so a good fully functional online smash brothers, mario kart, shooters will make this my go to console JUST for those Nintendo games.

Later that same year.

Breh, DAY 1 launch titles for PS3/360 WERE NOT ::ohmy: games.

Condemned
Perfect Dark Zero
Kameo
Project Gotham Racing 3
Dead or Alive 4
King Kong
Call of Duty 2
Gun
Quake 4
Tony Hawk American Wasteland
Tiger Woods 2006
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Ridge Racer 6
FIFA 06
NHL 2K6
Amped 3
NBA 2K6
NBA Live 06
Madden 06

Those were the launch games for that YEAR for the 360. Mostly ports and nothing standout. I see a double standard here. People acting like ports for 360/ps3 launch is gravy yet be on some :childplease: @ ports for Wii u.

Halo 3 and Gears 1 dropped a WHOLE year later.

Mario, Rayman, P-100, Pikmin, Zombiu, and a few others drop between launch day and a four month period.

The problem I see with most of those Wii-U titles is this:

Most of them are games that aren't exclusives ("Darksiders 2"), or by the time they drop on that console, would've been out a long time ("Mass Effect 3").

The reason people are willing to over look Sony and MS having a shytty launch line-up is because they eventually have good 3rd party games....Nintendo has been struggling with 3rd party support since N64, so it's kinda hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This E3 was a catastrophe for Sony, MS, and Nintendo as far as I'm concerned.

Fred.
