my 8bitdo sn30 pro plus came today :wow:
Mine too, I forgot I even pre ordered it.

It feels nice but a bit more weight would make it feel more sturdy.

I really dont like how the switch locks a dead zone on the sticks tho, it makes playing first person shooters a struggle. I thought it was just the pro controller but apparently it's the console itself.

Took the gamestop deal and traded in my launch switch for the new one with better battery life. Paid 75 bucks for the improved one.:wintendo:

Tested it out today and can confirm the huge improvement in battery life. Ran a lil cooler too. Well worth it:wintendo:

I try to stay away from gamestop but that trade in felt fair. :Spurohh:

So Nintendo really has given up. They're going full portable here. Third party developers will likely continue to ignore them or give them table scraps. This is too different from what the rest of the industry is doing. A Nintendo console at this point can't be a device that demands special attention and resources from developers because as we saw with the Wii U they won't dedicate that to a Nintendo console.

Nintendo Switch sales continue to thrive

Two years in, the Nintendo Switch continues to fly off store shelves. The house of Mario sold 2.13 million Switch consoles in the three months leading up to June 30th, 2019, bringing lifetime sales to 36.87 million. That's a small, but impressive increase on the 1.88 million that it sold during the same period last year. The first quarter (Nintendo's fiscal year ends in March) is usually a quiet one for Nintendo, so any improvement is notable. Still, the company will need bigger performances this fall and over the holiday season to reach its fiscal year target of 18 million Switch sales.

Nintendo Switch (July 2019 NPD)
  1. Fire Emblem: Three Houses*
  2. Super Mario Maker 2*
  3. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order*
  4. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate*
  5. Mario Kart 8*
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild*
  7. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe*
  8. Super Mario Party*
  9. Pokemon: Lets Go Eevee*
  10. Super Mario Odyssey*

The list above is just Switch sales, but Nintendo had 6 of the top 10 titles for the month overall. July was good for them.

Actually Nintendo is smart. Portable is the future. All hardware will be small stream boxes. That's why the new Gears of War game was so easy to install because it's all in the cloud.
