So are people thinking that this is still the home console and that there will be more a normal portable system? I thought they would just combine the DS + home console into one but I'm reading conflicting reports.

It's a mixture of both home and on the go comparable to a Nvidia what I posted above. Of course Nintendo is adding their mix

I wouldn't worry too much about that, usually in commercials that show people "playing" a game it's video footage. It's not uncommon at all.

Big difference is that that thing is bukly and the majority of games they showed were streaming to the device which means you gotta have internet connection all the time and have your home PC on to connect.

Switch is sleek, can be used in a myriad of ways and games are played natively.

What is it about the Switch that has everyone excited though? It just seems like a Wii U with detachable controls and you could take it outside. It's a cool concept....I guess. But don't see how it warrants the extremely overwhelmingly positive feedback. Maybe I'm missing something.
