The Nintendo DS sold 155 million. The 3DS is at like 40% of that. 60% of the total number of people that bought a DS did not buy a 3DS. That's a huge decline.
The Wii U sold like 13 million. People don't see Nintendo as a complement to the XB1/PS4.
I still don't see why Nintendo doesn't just go to Sony and strike a partnership. Sony can make the home console and Nintendo can do the portable and they can each put their games on both.
