I don't play video games a lot anymore and I don't even own a game console... and yet I want switch just so I could play zelda. (Oot is my favorite game of all time and this looks like it might have raised the bar)

Worst case scenario after a year or so if the shyt is collecting dust I could just sell it for like half price

I've been saying this 100 times. I'm not sure what Capcom is waiting for. The Switch is supposed to be a successor to the 3DS/Wii U. We need that Monster Hunter heat!!!

What portable battery did y'all end up going with?

I bought the anker 26800+, it's near the maximum size that we're allowed to travel with on airplanes.

Also, check out this article about usb-c cords before purchasing one, as it appears that there is not a set standard on their charging amperages, yet

I really like the joycon. Might be my preferred method of playing. Outside the grip with the joycon straps attached though. Don't really like the grip

Yeah, a Pokemon game or Smash gonna have to be announced. Or they gonna have to go HAM on the VC. def some good games coming out this year, but they need something to go along with the new Mario.

Yeah, the joycons work surprisingly well on their own. I picked up an extra pair just to have around. I play RMX with them detached quite often, sometimes double fisted, sometimes just on their own. I'll probably pick up a pair of pro-controllers once Street Fighter drops though.
