SONY FILES PATENT FOR WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SWITCH-ESQUE HANDHELD
sony-patent-1487345867104_610w.jpg

It looks like Sony may be taking cues from Nintendo, as the PlayStation manufacturer has filed a patent for what looks like a new Switch-inspired handheld device.

As spotted by NeoGAF user ponpo, the patent was filed back in 2015 but was only just recently published. While the controller pieces on the side look as though they may be detachable, they aren't explicitly shown as being removable from the device.

:dead:It was only a matter of time. Nintendo changing the game.

You could say this for any game. Saying it's just "a Wii u game pushed to the Switch" seems like you're downplaying it. Most of the Xbox 1/PS4 launch titles were just prettier versions of PS3/360 games. Hell we were still getting PS3/360 versions of games just a year or so ago.
This is a game that was supposed to be out earlier in the Wii U's life. It was pushed back so far they decided to port it to another system.

I know that but it's just irrelevant overall(bringing it up that it started as a Wii U title.) It's better to have than to have not. Saying Mario and Zelda are just "Wii U titles" is no different than saying "Titanfall is just a 360 game" or (insert any current gen game with a last gen port). Yeah yeah I know there's a bigger gap in visuals across the platforms than the Switch and Wii U but the point still stands.

It'd be dumb to release Zelda and the others only for the Wii U. :manny:

that grip doesn't charge. you'd have to buy a separate one for that and the it takes up to 2TB microsdxc but the highest one available now is 512GB by sandisk on amazon but thats $285
you can get 200GB sandisk microsdx for $79 at walmart

you could do multiplayer without connecting to the internet

No, I mean...if you want to log in for MP online for say Street Fighter....

you still are stuck with whatever wifi is available right... it seems like this is being promoted as an on the go thing....but you are still stuck to being at home with it unless you are playing single player....
