Low key though, I miss the days back when they used actual effects instead of just using CGI for everything.

Costumes, scale models, puppets, sets, lighting tricks, smoke machines, stop motion animation...

CGI is cool in movies like Terminator 2 and Jurassic park, they used it to enhance certain effects and when there was no other way to pull things off.

Now it's just done to death

Also, most importantly, flashy CG is not enough to make a great movie. We gotta have a reason to care about what's happening and who's involved.
