Desantis is no dummy, he's only taking advantage of the stupid Floridians. Like if you're dumb enough to support a govenor who is against mask mandates in the middle of a deadly pandemic, you deserve what you get. At some point we have to start placing blame on the voters who keep electing useless politicans. It's not hard to differentiate between a con artist and someone that actually knows what they're talking about and will fight for real change.

I like using DeSantis as an example. Obama works here too.

Doesn't matter how elite he is he comes across as relatable and connects to his constituency in on a cultural and personal level.

When you dwindle everything down to class issues, how can you expect well off folks to be or feel like true representatives for those who are struggling to survive?

It's a question of electability more so than policy.

1. How can a group of people be disenfranchised by the left when the left hasn’t had real representation in government going all the way back to like the 40’s-50’s.

2. when you remove the propaganda and other bullshyt almost everyone centrist right or far right favors socialistic policies over the bullshyt their fed by our two very right wing parties in government. So the idea that leftist ideas aren’t compatible here is pretty much just nonsense. Nina had the working class voters, she just didn’t get enough of them that’s all there is too it. Just gotta try again and keep the message out there

I usually just disagree with whatever you say off principle, but there's an argument to be made that Turner represents the Bernie Sanders wing of the party who has been making big promises for years, but never delivered.

I’m just going by straight exposure to the masses. Turner is a national figure. Which makes her a polarizing figure. And an easy target. Potential voters probably stayed home thinking she was going to win. The other chick got a money push, but you can’t buy the coverage Turner has gotten over the years.

Dark money seemingly really did cost Nina this election with the last minute surge for ads driving out suburban participation. There's a reason the winner OPENLY AND DIRECTLY thanked the Israeli's for their help in her acceptance speech. It's pretty disgusting

Nina Turner was on every high profile black media and national mainstream media outlets for the last 5 years and still blew it. IDK what you’re supposed to be suggesting. She lost fair and square. A woman no one heard of nationally until six months ago smoked one of the most famous political figures in the country.

Fair within the confines of law but foreign donating LARGE sums of money to American candidates because ultimately their victory benefits their country financially is pretty fukked up from an ethical standpoint. Not to mention any support of Israel is directly supporting Palestinian genocide
