Ive had a chase checking account for 3yrs now and have never been charged for anything. But soon as they figure out a way to charge checking accounts i'm closing my account and going to a credit union no questions asked.

SMH at them sending them pamphlets in the mail saying, "Deposit $1000 OR more and get $100 free!!!"

yeah they was talkin to me bout getting a account with them. i was in they office and they was trying to explain to me why their checking account which charges $10 every month if 500 dollaz aint in ur account is better than the checking account i got with kern schools which is free

Aye what do you guys know about canceling direct deposit cause the payday loan will try an cash that check so you gotta get your money out so they can't get paid. Then opening a new account somewhere else hittin up netpayadvance and gettin another loan an ballin out at the clubs

I had a chase Ultimate Rewards checking account and only got charged the annual fee to be in the program. I swear the program paid for itself about 10 times. I got so many amazon gift cards it was ridiculous.

Then the Govt passed that law where banks couldn't charge whatever they wanted on retailers to allow customers to pay with debit.

After that happened chase got rid of the program and Ive had a free checking account since.

Id rather pay the one time few of a few dollars ever couple weeks then havin to pay 3dollars every time I wanna get sum money out the atm....u know in the hood 9 times outta ten the bank u bank with won't be close to your house...and u end up in the gas station tryna get money out and its empty and shyt....I've had one before as u an tell...charged me like 15 a month to hold my money...the constant atm fees I wuz payin,constantly losin my card and payin for a new one,and nowadays crooks is interceptin those card numbers and sellin em....just give me my cash,besides it feels better reachin ya pocket and feelin that $574.62 in my life savings chillin..."oh u still there?"

If youre not close to a major bank I could see it being a problem. There were no branches for either of my banks nearby when I lived in BK. But there were branches by my job

Still though a lot of the time I don't even use cash. So its not a big deal. I'd rather that than a 10% fee on my paycheck. Keeping all that cash in your home... homes get broken into.

I don't know what fees your banks I'm charging, but I'm under that grandfathered BoA Student Account, no fees as long as I transfer $25 to my savings every month, ain't messing that up anytime soon.

I just found out nfl players only get paid after their games, for roster bonuses, training camp shyt and other incentives

which means they don't get paid every other week

which means from august to december is when they get the bulk of the money

and we wonder why/how they fail so easily

americans, regardless of race, can't make it off of 1st and the 15th

imagine getting paid once a week in bulk from august 1st to december 31st (rough estimate)

What's crazy is that poor people don't even give a fukk about those fees. A girl I knew worked at one of those check cashing places in college and they would give you $255 cash if you signed over a $300 check that could be cashed the next week. That's absolute rape. She felt bad for those idiots and tried to talk them out of it and they would just say shyt like "I'm bored, I want to go shopping "
