Curry can't be #1 without a Finals MVP, that's retarded

Especially since what should've been his crowning achievement in 2016 ended with him in losing the Finals on his home floor
Then running to KD for help.

Man nah you not about to slander magic like that just cause you clearly dont know his game. Dude was a career 20/7/11 player but beyond that he had intagibles steph never had. At all times you knew Magic was in control. He could get you 30 if you needed it. 20 dimes if you needed it. 15 boards if you needed. He was much much more than flashy passes. Magic played at his own pace so if he was in the league today he'd be just as dominant. Period.
Nah I know his game well.

He was a 6’9 guard-forward likely the greatest passer ever, high IQ player, would be a SF or ideally a small ball PF today due to lack of foot speed, he had post up skills, he was strong getting to the rim, he was an average athlete who played at 10%+ body fat, he barely used his left hand for anything, he was an inconsistent shooter with a slow base set shot he could hit a midrange jumper and later in his career developed three point range. He played his entire career on primarily up tempo offenses on stacked teams with multiple HoF’ers including a top 3 player of All-Time in KAJ, and other solid starters and role players. He was limited in the half court and could be turnover prone he was not a takeover/blackout scorer, he took efficient shots and was more of a stat sheet stuffer. Defensively he was a weak defender but could gamble in the lanes and get steals. As a 6’9 PG playing in the Showtime offense he could monopolize possessions and “control” the game like you said racking up huge assist totals and grabbing boards like a Rondo, Kidd, Westbrook.

And nah he was human I don’t want to hear this intangibles bullshyt. They called the man Tragic Johnson at one point, do ya research his failures are documented.

1. Magic
2. Isiah
3. Stockton

Curry MAY finish in the top 3 GOAT PG but he definitely has a long way to go before he's #1. And he may not even be able to match Stockton's longevity...

Yea but he has also goes ghost in key moments.
You're overexaggerating because you're [sub]consciously focused on the moments which you perceive to be bad play from him, as if they're the norm and not an outlier, when if you took everything in equal measure, you'd realize he doesn't go ghost, but the very opposite:

2015 First round - Game 3 away from home - down 105-108, hits 3-pointer with two seconds left, goes into OT and contributes 11 of the 15 points through scoring/playmaking - finishes the series averaging 34 ppg on high efficiency.
2015 Second Round - down 1-2 - closes out series on the road x2 - averaged nearly 30 ppg on high efficiency against one of the best defensive teams in the league, dropping 13 points in the 4th quarter of the close-out game.
2015 WCF - averages 31 ppg on ultra efficiency, including a 40-pt game on 19 shots away from home.
2015 Finals - down 1-2 - closes out the series with three straight wins - averages 28 ppg on high efficiency (while his second-option only averaged 8 ppg), finished with the most clutch points in the series (even more than LeBron), while dealing with more defensive attention than any player in the league.

2016 Second Round (returns after being injured in the first round) - breaks the overtime scoring record with 17 points, finishes the series averaging 34 ppg on ultra efficiency.
2016 WCF - down 1-3 - closes out series with three straight wins - averaged 32 ppg on high efficiency, including a 22-point second half to go along with Klay's 25-point second half in Game 6 away from home (hitting the dagger), and a 36-point performance in Game 7 (hitting 7-12 threes) when the rest of his teammates shot poorly from the field, including a 15-point 4th quarter, again, hitting the dagger. Including a masterful performance on defense, where he defended Westbrook better than any other Warriors defender.

2017 First Round, Second Round, WCF, Finals - his first postseason since 2015 where he was healthy: had multiple 30+ ppg series' on ultra efficiency, and end up finishing the postseason with one of the most efficient high-volume scoring postseasons in NBA history.

2018 Second Round (returns from injury, after being out for nearly two months) - closes out the series with a 28-point performance on ultra efficiency.
2018 WCF - drops close to 30 ppg in the last five games on high efficiency, in the midst of being down 2-3, had TWO pivotal quarter scoring-bursts to help break the deadlock in both elimination games - in particular Game 7 when he brought his team back from being down double-digits at halftime with a 14-point quarter.

Apart from the hiccup in the 2016 Finals (where his mobility was gradually getting worse due to an injury), Curry has performed like an all-time great in EVERY single key-moment in the playoffs, since his rise to superstardom. Not just one play, or one game, or one series, but ALL of them - even more so when the Warriors were trailing in series' or games - he'd reach a new level.

And this is without mentioning he was dealing with more defensive attention than any other perimeter player in NBA history, in the '15 and '16 postseasons.

He isnt the floor general magic is
He's a far, far, far greater floor general, than Magic is a scorer - Magic's not even remotely coming close to him as a scorer.

:hubie:
often commints stupid turnovers at the wrong time.
Not only is this not true, at all, but if you knew what the fukk you're talking about, you'd know that Magic is really the one who's committed stupid turnovers and made crucial mistakes at the wrong time.

The errors that Magic made in that series are far worse than what Curry has ever been guilty of.

We gotta let these cats retire and let a good few years fly by before we start the best ever comparison games.

Hate when we do this shyt with any of these cats.

With that said Curry is going to go down as Top 5 Pgs based on the rate hes going.

if Steph is a PG like AI was a PG. Dude is an undersized SG that gets assist because he plays with the 2nd greatest shooter ever and Kevin Durant.

:comeon:
He averaged 8.5apg with the great Monta Ellis as the 2nd best player on the team :mjlol:.

LeBron averaged 8apg for the first time in his career last season :mjlol:

Knicks
His insane shooting makes up for the other areas where he's weak.
Whether that puts him ahead of other greats that were better at defense, for example, is personal opinion. :manny:
