The more I travel the more it’s lookin like city trips FTW

Places like Dubai are too central. All of the Caribbean is the same, and Mexico is just like the carribean, especially resorts

Africa and multi-country Europe trips is where it’s at.

They also try and convince people to go hit up the "Gold Souk". No deals, and you are going to spend an hour bargaining with the shop owner. Tailored suits as well.

A regular glass of beer ran $16, and this was in 2006
I’ve gotten great deals at the gold sukh you must not bargain well.

I was just there two months ago. You can definitely drink, the nightlife is as popping as you would expect in a major tourist area. It's way too damn hot to be outside during the day though and the place is full of european cacs.. You barely see any locals. Dubai really has no culture.

It's sad because American used to be the best country, that everyone wanted to visit.

Now the USA is a global caricature that people avoid.

I've wanted to go since I've seen the 1st New Years celebration on youtube. I'm not even a fan of that type of stuff but I was like an that l99ks crazy, I need to see that in person.

I did a report in college about what you can do there as a tourist. The indoor Waterpark and a dune buggy tour that turns into a BBQ are the only things I can remember.
