Some dude approached her and she didn't give a simple no, she said something flagrantly disrespectful and embarassing to that man. He is embarrassed and goes to pick up a brick, THIS IS WHERE YOU STEP IN. You are now in between a man with a brick and a woman who now turns all the way to 100 while she is behind you. Egging that shyt all the way up. I already see you trying to get this woman to chill before you get bombed on. When that brick hits you i guarantee that woman doesn't show an ounce of remorse for you.

I'm not saying anyone deserves to get bricked. I'm saying you gotta know when it's worth inserting yourself into something and assess whether you can get out of it safely your damn self.

I know we living in wild times but something about a bunch of men standing around while another man hits a woman upside the head with a brick with enough force to give her a concussion doesn't sit right with me. Especially since it sounds like it was a 1 vs many situation. I could see not stepping in, in a DV situation 1 v 1 because 9/10 she's gonna stick beside him and probably turn on you, but this wasn't that.

That being said, I don't see the point in pretending women are overreacting when they say the fear similar outcomes just because 1000 women a week aren't being hit with bricks or murdered for rejecting someone. Talk to one of the most polite and reasonable women you know and I guarantee she has more than one story of her simple "no" turning scary. If it's not straight violence it's threats, insults or being followed down the street.

It's simple men still have an understanding of consequences. It seems like today's women do not. Let's say old girl's story is 100% truth( it isn't come on now). I'm out there and try to interverene. Small world. I matched with her on Hinge a few months back, but stopped talking to her a few days after we exchanged numbers. I’m a City Boy. She didn’t do anything wrong. I was just on the move. She said she’s doing her PhD at UT in Austin, but she’s ABD (all but dissertation) so she’s been traveling a lot. I believe she did her undergrad at Columbia. I’m doing my PhD currently, so we connected on that level. She was cool in my interaction with her. Honestly, I can't stand by and watch a man hit a woman with a brick. That's coward sh*t and he could have killed her.

There are skillful ways to intervene. I probably would have gotten close to her and escorted her off the scene. If dude still wants to hit her while I'm right there blocking, now me and him got a problem.

Things escalate in seconds. Yall acting like dude picked up a brick and gave a villan speech like bane before hitting her with it. If it's true and he hit her and dipped there wouldn't be time to do anything. Stuff can happen so fast you wouldn't have time to react.
