How is Griff "a notorious anti semite"?
Are we really doing this?
You trying to suggest that Griff is not vehemently anti jewish?
How is Griff "a notorious anti semite"?
Before the release of It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, Professor Griff, in his role as Minister of Information, gave interviews to UK magazines on behalf of Public Enemy, during which he made homophobic and anti-Semitic remarks. In a 1988 issue of Melody Maker he stated, "There's no place for gays. When God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, it was for that sort of behaviour" and "If the Palestinians took up arms, went into Israel and killed all the Jews, it'd be all right." However, there was little controversy until May 22, 1989, when Griffin was interviewed by The Washington Times. At the time, Public Enemy enjoyed unprecedented mainstream attention with the single "Fight the Power" from the soundtrack of Spike Lee's film Do the Right Thing. What "antisemitic things"? You sound like you're just parroting what you heard others say. I'm sure you can quote (and source) the "antisemtic things" Griff supposedly said, right?
That happens all the time. Those guides be wrong a lot of the time

During the interview with David Mills, Griffin made numerous statements such as "Jews are responsible for the majority of the wickedness in the world". When the interview was published, a media firestorm emerged, and the band found itself under intense scrutiny.
I remember Public Enemy before he got kicked out. I'm not parroting shyt B.
Him calling out the Jewish involvement in transatlantic slave trade and the sheer dominance that they hold in the music industry is anti-semitic?
And that Palestinian comment sounds like it's taken out context. Unless you have the question that he was responding to, how am I supposed to know that that simply wasn't a call for Palestinians to take to arms for the genocide that they've had to endure at the hands of Israeli Jews? Or am I supposed to believe that they asked him what he had for breakfast that morning and that he just randomly decided to spurt that out?
You simply quoted an article that cherry-picked a few quotes out of context. What's funny is that I could post a Malcolm X seminar, and quote him saying these same things verbatim, but you wouldn't dare call him anti-semitic, hahaha.
1:25 - 2:35
3:38 - 4:06
4:18 - 4:45
4:51 - 5:22
5:35 - 7:11
You'll accept those comments if they came out of Malcolm's mouth, but not Griff's? Absolutely pathetic.
Take it up with Chuck D man. He got kicked out of the group due to what he said. That's just facts, if you want to debate whether he deserves or not I'm not the one who made that decision. The leader of one of if not the most Pro-Black Hip Hop group kicked him out. I'm sure you can @ him on IG. lol
And I replied to your reply and here we are. What are you even talking about right now?You literally quoted me saying he kicked out of the group for saying "antisemitic things" to which I responded. If you're gonna tap out because you can't think yourself then don't quote me bruh, haha. It's not that hard
when white ppl call us savages and shyt, it implies that we're lesser humans than they are. that's racist ideology no matter how you spin it. nick thought he was immune, so did his fans.I don't disagree with what Nick Cannon said. I don't really see how it was racist. I do understand why he was fired and it is a bigger issue at play.
Nick Cannon was fired for attempting to offer solidarity with Jews. This presents a big threat to the capitalist and racist system of America. Why? Blacks and Jews are HATED by racists and as long as they can pit the two groups against each other and conceal the fact that Jews were Black, they can continue to divide and conquer.
And no that doesn't excuse the sector Jews who also remain silent because they are in bed with white oppressors.
Still, there is a lot of logic in what Nick Cannon was trying to do and he got shut down for it.
No one is talking about Malcolm X man. Whataboutisms aren't necessary stay focused. If you're going to label Griff an anti-semite then just make sure you do the same for Malcolm X. I've posted the seminar with him directly addressing and criticizing the Jews.

Yes, they are or have been antisemetic. Now you can you answer my question? It's not a "whataboutism". Griff's a disciple of the NOI, just like brother Malcolm was, and they were both laced with the same information about the Jews which is what he and Nick Cannon have come under scrutiny for.
So if you're willing to label Griff an anti-semite for calling out the Jews for their mistreatment of black people, just make sure that you strike Malcolm X, Khalid Abdul Muhammad, et al... with that same anti-semite label as they said nothing different to what Griff stated...
...but something tells me you won't so let's just agree to end this conversation.
