It's ridiculous how much I love this game. Definitely this and Bloodborne at the top of my GOAT PS4 games. I think I'm getting close to the end of the main storyline. I'm assuming that the DLC material will kick in when that happens? I like fighting Revenants that are higher levels and see what kind of stuff they have. Everyone has the same damn armor (Warrior of the West or Red Demon), and I've come across wayyyyyy too many Rakiris.
On a side note, I've been chasing down all of the Kodamas (had to go back in twice on two levels to get ones that I had missed. Anyways, I'm on one of the last levels (where I have Hanzo and Okasa with me), and I see my green dot so I go chasing it. Jump down, onto a very skinny ledge, and SURPRISE, there's a Raven Tengu
. Knowing damn well it's gonna knock me off the mountain, I run past it and SURPRISE, ANOTHER RAVEN TENGU 
. This one DOES knock me off the mountain. fukk this shyt. Run back to get my stuff, manage to dodge both, get my spirit, somehow climb the ladder while Hanzo and Okasa put in work as I watched from above 
. Them two are tanks man.

How does this game compare to Bloodbourne?

They're similar, but different. Both are fast paced (which I LOVE), hard and unforgiving if you don't pay attention. Nioh's combat is a bit more fleshed out, with different moves able to be unlocked for each weapon, to go along with 3 different stances for each weapon. If you've played BB, it's the same here with button-mashing not being the best approach. You have to be real careful with your Ki (think Stamina), because if it runs down, not only will you not be able to swing/dash, but it opens you up for bad things to happen. BB was my favorite PS4 game before I played Nioh, and now it's looking like I have a 1a and 1b situation. They both kick serious ass, and if you liked one, there's no doubt in my mind that you'll like the other.
One thing that's irritating me, is after beating the Demon King mission, some Sub Missions popped up, and they're stupid hard. They make you fight 2 hard bosses at the same time. Then there's another where you have to go through waves of enemies that are a serious bytch to fight. And to make matters worse, unlike earlier in the game, where if you clear one wave you were done with that particular one, oh no, you gotta do each wave every time. I got lucky and beat one of the 2 bosses sub missions, but the others are seriously kicking my ass right now. I guess I'm gonna have to advance to NG+ and get my levels up and some better gear.

This has better combat, Bloodborne has better atmosphere. Both have really good bosses. Nioh is easier imo.
Bloodborne has a better atmosphere and art design to it.
Nioh is better from a technical standpoint (1080p/60fps comparted to BB's 1080p/30fps)
They both have excellent weapons and combat, I think Bloodborne has more memorable moments overall, but Nioh's silky smooth and exactly what action game junkies love in these type of games. Nioh has one of the best combat systems you'll ever play low key

Boring, repetitive gameplay, and fighting the same enemies over and over again. Bloodborne is in a completely different class than this.

This game is serious a slogg to play through. It is enjoyable and differen tin the beginning but before the halfway point you realize its repetitive and too long. Not fukking with any of the souls or BB.
