People weren't saying that these past few weeks when those receivers were putting up numbers and having him in the MVP lead.

People scoff at it because that argument made week by week depending on the offense and how they perform. When those receivers perform well, you don't hear anything about it.

If you're hyping someone up as up as becoming a three time MVP and back to back MVP and has the best RB in the league, you're going to be hard pressed getting people to hear that they need more weapons. Not to mention same said people like to use the weapons argument against other QBs.

You either want them to have those type of weapons or you don't.

I said it before the draft, during the draft, after they played well... I've been saying it Lamar's whole career.

It's not about the regular season it's about making sure you have enough fire power in the playoffs. Bateman and Agholor do not provide that and it's going to be the same story of their offense not coming through.

Getting a playmaker should be even more necessary this season because their defense isn't elite.
