That's literally just Jimmy G though :russ:
49'ers in the same spot they've been for years
Adequate QB but if they fall behind and need a guy who can actually make plays to bring them back they are fukked

Much cheaper price tag. I’m just sickened that the 9ers gave up on a guy they traded 3 1st round picks for for a younger Jimmy. If this shyt blows up I want a fulll house cleaning.

Eh. I will say this. If you take into account his good games and his bad games Brock Purdy has played way above his draft status.

He can do a lot of things better than Jimmy Garapollo who was a second round pick.

Purdy is also only 23 and his issues are mostly mental

I do agree a good chunk of the blame falls on Kyle Shanahan. He isn't using the strengths the 49er do have to the best effect. This something Jim Harbaugh was better at.
So would brock be a late 3rd early 4th round pick now? Sure but it still falls on who drafted him and the talent surrounding him

Desmond Ridder getting hurt might have been the best thing for the Atlanta Falcons offense all season.

The Giants are embarrassing. They completed 6 passes yesterday. Six. For the entire game. Six.

While the Jaguars won the game, we saw vintage Trevor Lawrence yesterday. And not in the good way. He threw another red zone interception. Just when you think he's turning a corner...

I don't have any idea what the Houston Texans did during their bye week. You come out the break and CJ Stroud looks worse. And Dameon Pierce and the running game looks the same. Good grief. What the hell are you folks doing down there?

The Dallas Cowboys came out on a mission. Very efficient. Ceedee Lamb looked like one of the best WRs in football after a quiet month. He's heating up, as NBA Jam might say.

The Green Bay Packers got a HOF career out of Brett Favre, and followed it with a HOF career out of Aaron Rodgers. Sadly, the trend won't continue with Jordan Love. He's not it. They might be on the same trajectory as the Tennessee Titans. Blow the whole thing up. Keep Musgrave though. I'm not even sure how to rate Doubs or Reed.

Is it me or Washington and Philadelphia low key have the best rivalry going in football right now? It just feels like their last 3 or 4 games have been really competitive. Philly is clearly very good. Washington plays up from time to time, though I have little faith in any Ron Rivera-led team. I've been telling people for a while now that Jahan Dotson gets open a lot. Maybe McLaurin helps with that, but Dotson is a pretty good player.

Cleveland has such a good defense but their offense is lame. I don't think they throw over the middle of the field enough. They throw these balls to the sidelines to Amari Cooper and too many times those are going to end up incomplete. It's inefficient passing, hoping for a prayer. At least that's how it looks. The Browns either need a WR who can exploit the middle, or they need to find an offensive coordinator who will call the right plays. Myles Garrett has 8.5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles on the season. This man is a goddamn terror.

Joe Burrow came out the bye week looking like his old self. And playing under center seemed to have kickstarted the Bengals running game. Are the Bengals back?

I preface all of this by saying I agree that the Chiefs need to get better at receiver.

I don't think he should get this pass because he's a 2-time MVP, 2-time SB Champion and 2-time SB MVP. He is the consensus best QB in the game and already considered by some to be the best of his era. By all accounts, Patrick Mahomes is THE Franchise QB of today's NFL. He just won a MVP with Juju Smith-Schuster as his best non-Kelce pass catcher and we see what Juju is and has been since Antonio Brown got the sense knocked out of him by Vontaze Burfict.

While I despise the "Franchise QB" title because what it really means is that the front office will use that as an excuse to skimp on talent around that person because said QB has proven they can make it work without a particularly strong supporting cast, the fact of the matter is that if Mahomes is what we all believe he is, when his head coach/playcaller is considered one of the great offensive minds the game has ever seen, they SHOULD be able to make this work. He should be elevating the talent around him like Brady, Brees, etc. did.

If Carson Wentz can put together a season where he throws for 4000 yards, 27 TD and just 7 INT without ONE wide receiver that had at least 500 yards receiving -- he did this the same year Mahomes won his first Super Bowl -- I REFUSE to believe Patrick Mahomes can't elevate people around him if he's the dominant player we all know he is.

Is it a fair expectation? I can't say it is, but this is what comes with the territory of being the standard for QB play in the NFL.
Chiefs only lost 2 games and before this game Mahomes was MVP favorite, lets let this play out before we start typing essays
