Probably right and this is how franchises get set back for decades

They needed Will Levis to play a full season and take the L for them to get the first pick and a new QB. Mason Rudolph will fukk around win 5 games, they pick 5th instead of 1st, get the fanbase all ralled up, get the pundits gassing him ‘You can win with Mason Rudolph! Good run game, defense, mistake free good clean football how about these Titans!’

Then they name him starter and after a offseason of tape on him defenses destroy him. The Daniel jones special
Yeah, there's no such thing as "tanking" in the NFL
This isn't basketball
No coach trying to throw a season and wind up 1-16 and losing their job

Stroud has done nothing to be definitively above Purdy

One QB took a 3 win team with a rookie coach, won the division, and a playoff game.

The other joined a ready made contender with stacked weapons, arguably the most respected offensive coach, and an elite defense. They were in the Super Bowl a few seasons before he got there.

Purdy hasn't done what CJ did.

Brock Purdy is on pace for another 4000+ throwing primary to the 3rd receiver on the team. The defense this year took 2 steps back and the special teams is garbage.

All this to say the gap between the two is essentially a coin flip.

Man stop. That's still a top tier team and Aiyuk has been out there with Jennings. Deebo and Kittle are already back so it's only CMC out but Mason is currently 2nd in the league in rushing. That's a plug and play offense.

Ask any GM who would they choose between the two and Stroud will be the one 90% of the time.

There's been no proof of Purdy being able to carry a bad team and reverse their course. You want to say he's good go ahead but better than CJ he is not.

The 49ers are also one of the oldest teams in the NFL. This is basically the last year the team together. CMC may be out most of the season. The offensive line's best player is a rookie RG. Even big Trent got fat while waiting for his extension and has looked old and slow.

I said the gap is small. You made it like Stroud is leaps and bounds better. They are in the same tier of QB. Not elite but the 2nd tier. The Texans have a Shanahan disciple an up and comer Bobby Slowik and a much younger team with room to grow.

Meanwhile you pretend the texans dont have weapons on offense. Aiyuk has shown he sucks as a #1 and Jennings is a 3. Jimmy G wasnt doing what Purdy is, so kill all the plug and play talk

Stroud wasnt the reason the defense went from bottom 3 to bordeline top10 last year.

Stroud also has a Shanahan disciple as an OC.

We dont deal with what ifs. Purdy is the reason that team is elite. Without him that team is shyt

Another thing...I have no idea who the best team in the league is. Is it Baltimore? Is it KC? Is it Minnesota? I have no idea. But I have a feeling this shyt is gonna end up boiling down to the best rushing teams again. The nerds mad as fukk that once again it's clear RBs matter.

Yea Chargers are fine. They'll probably move off Bosa in the off season and address WR TE in the off season.

Chargers were down both tackles and Herbert is on one leg out there. Couldn't move. Anytime it was 3rd and long Chiefs would put Jones at DE and it was over. The backup OT didn't stand a chance

Thank you for actually watching the fukking game.

This tells me people STILL dont get what analytics are saying about RBs

analytics dont say RBs dont matter. What they say is that its unwise to invest a lot of resources into RBs, such as high draft pick or a lot of money

look at top 10 leading rushers right now. only Josh Jacobs and Saquon were first round picks. The second leading rusher is an UDFA on the same team that has the highest paid RB in the league.

now look at leading WRs and QBs. a lot more of them were selected in the first round.

out of 15 WRs 7 were first rounders

out of top 30 QBs yardage wise right now only 9 (Geno Purdy Dak Hurts Minshew Cousins Carr Levis Dalton) were not first round picks. And only Purdy Dak Cousins and Minshew were selected later than 2nd round
there isnt a single UDFA QB in the top 30 QB list.

In fact the 9ers came off an NFC championship game that they probably should have won against the Rams if Tartt catches that pick, the year before Purdy.
