Fields is done in Chicago, it was always a ridiculous concept to keep him and pass on CW. Dude is by far the worst QB in his own division.

Hurts is lookin like one year wonder ala Carson Wentz, hasn't looked like a good qb outside of 1 or 2 games this year.

Jordan Love is the truth, his name will be in top 5-7 talk next year.

Trevor Lawrence is Daniel Jones with a Shampoo endorsement.

I cannot be convinced that ANY QB -- whether it's Justin Fields, Caleb Williams or whoever -- can survive, thrive or tread water behind this Bears OL (as currently constructed) on a regular basis.
I counted at least three plays where pressure up the middle was immediate. Not to mention they got old man Jason Peter's on the blindside

Bears fans are bytches just like their squad.
nikkas was talking big shyt to end last year. Talked big shyt to begin the year, and talked big shyt leading up to this game.

They aint even on my radar anymore. Not even a rivalry. Its like watching a bug vs a windshield.

@Po pimp u saw what a real QB looks like and it aint Fields. :camby:

Stop making excuses
Said the same shyt for years with the Giants and Jones
Joe Burrow took the worst OL in the NFL to a SB and they were even in position to win that game at one point
The great ones can overcome it
Yes they can. Especially if you surround those great ones with a Pro Bowl RB, arguably the best WR trio in the game and competent coaching like they did Burrow.

Is that what's going on in Chicago?

What killed me watching Fields were the obvious downs they were going to send the team at him.
3, maybe 4 times and it worked each time.

You ain't a rookie QB anymore.
3rd year, week 17.
4 seasons deep.
Audible and check that shyt. Scramble or something.

I think this is an honest summary from the Bears subreddit:
Things not on Fields:
  • 120ish yards given up to Aaron Jones
  • No interior low-mid level spy (got gashed over our D in this range all game)
  • Interior Line getting fukked 0.5s into a play
  • No calls from refs (2 late hits, many missed holds on both sides, missed PI, Packers getting a free challenge)
  • Poor game calling (8 runs , 2 pass) on many drives
  • Screens on 3rd and 22
Things on Fields:
  • At least 1 sack that he rolled in to
  • Some inaccurate throws
  • Failure to either audible out of plays or help move protection
  • Still held onto the ball a bit long at times. My guess is downfield was covered very well or he didnt read the zone timing well
  • Low energy in a big game
I don't know, that's supposed to be your legacy game and at this point you're supposed to be a vet QB - you got to do some of those second points already. Every trick in the book you know as a QB should have tried to come out today to fight for your spot.

A QB with better fundamentals makes the difference here. Caleb sometimes gets his Peyton Manning on with the audibles (pretty rare for a college QB) and at least would've tried something.

Chicago is a shyt show. Bad coach, bad QB, bad line. They have Mooney. Im curious to see what they do with all their picks. But aside from all that, eye test shows Fields aint shyt. Its not even about CHI's record or the fact Packs own them but Fields has had another sub par season and hes going into year 4 next year. He the type of QB that shows flashes(mostly with his legs) but comes up shorts or is too inconsistent.

all week people were praising Fields these past 5 weeks i was like :childplease:

they winning games DESPITE him. he did what game managers are asked to do (make a few plays here and there and not ball out). His defense gave him 4 INTS vs the vikes and they only manage to score 12 points. Thats trash
