On paper the 49ers should easily be the better team than Philly. They both share the same strengths on both sides of the ball but Philly is the only one with a clear flaw: pass defense.

But…Hurts just got the it factor pause. Defies all projections.

Since when did Brock Purdy become Drew Brees? He's clearly the worst part of that offense.

Also the last time the Niners played the Eagles their offensive line failed to protect two quarterbacks and their leader lost his temper and got himself ejected.

It's a wrap if the Niners get double digits on them like the last two teams did at the half.

The defense is already the best but the addition of Chase Young is a huge difference. Expect Jalen to get sacked at least twice and hurried A LOT.

He’s not a flaw. At some point you have to believe what you’re seeing. Why is this so hard for people to do

The Steelers low key could have a top 5 receiving core room in the league….yet they’re on the brink of implosion bc Pickett is trash….Dobbs with Addison and Hock throws 4 picks ….Seahawks with that trio—-and 2 high level RBs—- should be putting up 35 a game …but they struggle bc of geno.

I’m not trying to hear ‘he just got weapons’. QBs have weapons and can’t do shyt with em. Jimmy G didn’t look like this. Trey lance didn’t look like this. Joe Montana had Rice, Taylor, and Craig. Was it him or them? We don’t know and we don’t have to. That’s just how it is. Purdy is him. Period. You could play the ‘what if’ game for every player

Brock Purdy is at worst a top 10 QB right and many argue he could be a dark horse MVP candidate.

That’s a tricky question. If we hypothetically drafting QBs blank slate, of course he’s rated lower. But that’s not how it works. We can only go by QBs as-is with the team they’re attached to. So based on THAT, he’s top 10.

A narrative that has lost the meaning is the term game manager. A game manager isn’t lighting up the scoreboard like Purdy is.

Fun fact Brock Purdy leads the league in air yards per play at 9.4. That's 1 yard more than Tua or Stroud (not saying he's better) but he is in that class.

His behaviour has people talking sideways. He'll be a beast. Jaylen Daniels can play though, if the Giants are not stupid, grab him and audition Jones fo 2024. Jaylen and Saquon will make noise in the league imo.
