wait so MVS who is known for dropping passes thats a fluke play? :jbhmm: or Dallas & Dak known for choking & having bad clock management thats a fluke? :jbhmm: & lets not forget we sacked him on that drive too to move them back further.

Jalen Carter blocking a FG is a fluke play? or is that just a good play by the carter?

breh cmon dog. those arent flukes or thats a team/player being who they are. woulda coulda shoulda we got the dub because we made the plays.

No one said these were flukes. All that's being said is that in "gotta have it" situations, Philly is way more likely to execute the way good teams should. Other teams aren't doing that, and these failures to execute haven't been because Philly made the plays in those moments. MVS dropped that pass when he had at least a step or two on a defender. Hell, Dak stepped out of bounds on a two-point conversion that, had he not done that, all Dallas would have needed was a FG instead of a TD.

Hell, on the final drive, the Eagles made so many mistakes to where they basically gift-wrapped the game for Dallas only for Dallas to have two offensive penalties and allow a sack in the final moments.

Philly is better on capitalizing on those openings than recent opponents have been. If those opponents were better in those moments, Philly's record would look different but it wouldn't change that they're one of the top teams in the league.

Pretty much this.

They're sloppy, and escaping these games. This doesn't look sustainable
The sustainable part doesn't really matter or hold weight as far as the big picture. They got to the Super Bowl with a team built around a strong OL, dynamic QB maximizing his two WRs and a great pass rush. Those same strengths are fueling this 10-1 start and the dogfights make them even better suited for JAN/FEB because of all the reps in high leverage games vs sitting on huge leads all of last season.

The only thing being 10-1 instead of 8-3 like they should be with this schedule does is inch closer and closer to guaranteeing them HFA and that bye. That shouldn't of been nearly as realistic or damn near a lock as it's starting to appear to be before December. Teams like SF & Dallas have only themselves to blame for playing with their food

Maybe the Eagles ability to not make costly mistakes at the end of the game is not luck but actually mental fortitude.

100%.

The luck part is the other teams' failure to execute -- as opposed to Philly forcing these teams to fail -- which allows Philly to get the opportunities to demonstrate that mental fortitude.

Late-game execution is absolutely a honed skill/ability and Philly has it in spades. It isn't the Eagles' fault that other teams don't have that skill to the level they do, nor should the Eagles apologize for it. But they are fortunate to have had games unfold in a fashion where they can slam the door on teams who didn't close the deal when they had the chance. As pointed out in an earlier post, it's better this way because they'll be playoff ready.

I think they or Bears (Carolina's pick) gets #1/2 for sure.

Problem is in this draft I don't think many will be interested in moving up to #2, and Pats don't have a history of moving up, but if I'm the Bears I'd strongly consider swapping with the Pats and getting Harrison + some compensation instead of drafting Caleb. We'll see how it shakes out though.

Herbert had 28 completions for 200 yards is crazy

That is wild. Especially when the Ravens didn't have Marlon for the game.

Can't have three fumbles -- one in the red zone -- against a team like Baltimore and expect to win, but that's wild in today's league.

The NFL completely changed the rules to gear towards a "more exciting passing league" and essentially tried to phase out running offenses but they never thought about what would happen once guys Peyton, Brady, Brees all retired and Rodgers became washed. We have a passing league with half the QBs being complete unplayable dogshyt and it's horrendous to watch.

Beli is gone after this season
Idgaf if he signed an extension yesterday
Kraft not gonna put up with a 2-15 season and benching the starting QB every other game like it's HS football
