The Yay
T.O shouldnt make it tbh

He was a good talent that never really won shyt :yeshrug:

Plus by the end of his career he was more a side show than an actual asset to teams he was on
:camby: to is, at absolute worst, a top5 wr of all time and one can make an argument for top 2-3 easily . That alone should get him in comfortably

those Denver defenses were so underrated.

Mecklenberg should be in the HOF too.
Randy Gradishar should be in from the Orange Crush as well..they underrated Elway's defense and operated..case in point, 1990 Broncos have No. 1 scoring defense, but Elway's mediocre 18td 18 ints is credited for "carrying" them there.

you made this conversation about a running back being a "closer" you dummy.

Breh :deadmanny:
u cant be serious

A team with a balanced offense with a lead can run the ball without having to worry about a defense stacking the line

If a defense does put 8 in the box the offense will audible to a play action and the receiver will have less men to beat in the secondary. That helps a running game tremendously, especially when you have a physical receiver and mismatch like irving or gates, and a great qb throwing to him.

bettis didnt have that advantage until ben was drafted and he only had two more years left. So teams were stacking the line without having to worry about the offense passing over their heads but still couldnt stop the Bus from moving the chains.

You seem to be under the impression that a team is obligated to run the ball in closing situations. But if you have a passing threat it keeps the defense from committing 100% to the run in these situations.

I cant believe I have to explain this to someone. :upsetfavre:

He's 2nd right behind Jerry IMO.
TO only had one flaw, inconsistent hands..he made Jeff Garcia look elite by routinely taking simple crosses, slants and pivot routes to the house..
