whether other companies do it or not is beside the point. other companies don't throw it in your face like the NFL does with pink everything. especially since the majority of their audience, employees, customers are male. like someone said prostate cancer month is september and i didnt know that and im sure most people don't. if they put half the effort into that as they do breast cancer it'd raise a ton of awareness. but that wouldnt help them sell merchandise.

the NFL released a response

The NFL does not profit from the sale of pink merchandise. All money the NFL would normally receive from merchandise sales goes to support this program, either through direct funding to ACS or covering the costs of A Crucial Catch. In 2011, the NFL donated $1.5 million directly to ACS from auction/sale of pink product.

How are you crapping on males by "supporting" healthy female breast?

Prostate cancer is just as prevalent as breast cancer.....men are the NFL's primary fan base....why no correlation? Not even so much as a ribbon or jersey patch for men?

Men are loyal to the NFL and will watch/support regardless....women on the other hand will see teh pink and think, "Oh, that's cool, the NFL cares about women....and the pink accessories are cute"

I mean, this has gone from being a 1 week thing, to being all year now.

But yet, still no mention of any mens issues at all.

To me I don't understand why they make such a big deal over just BREAST cancer. It ain't even the most common cancer. What about prostate cancer, lung cancer, rectal cancer, leukemia? I don't see people wearing colors for a whole month for those. Why the hell is breast cancer the only cancer that gets its own month? The whole thing's always seemed like a huge marketing scam cause the color pink is easy to advertise.

Post seems to written by a 3rd grader.

What other "cancer charities do this too"?

you get on my post, and then you type that. That statement is not a complete sentence.

As for your question, most breast cancer charities and foundations. The charity scam is one of the greatest hustles we have going. Livestrong have been doing this for a decade.

good article on it here on Breast Cancer. The real point is that you should research before you donate.

Im typing on my phone.

I wasnt making a broad accusation like you.

Seems like you made a lazy Google search to support your generalization. Any organization/charity/association that receives money can be painted as a "scam".

Even if the NFL only donates 5% thats more money than the Charity was receiving before the NFL license deal.

The NFL is a huge marketplace and even if the contribution is only "5%", being branded on NFL only increases awareness to the cause which is just as important as money.

They dont allow changes to uniforms. So when this started, it was apparent that it was a money grab.
