no. them guys choose to do it. they dont have to. you looking at from a standpoint that people are doing this to get a laugh at the black man dressing up as women. maybe they chose to do it because they wanted to. have a few laughs let their inner actor out.

Dude - I know they are choosing to do it.

I know that.

But how many of them are choosing to do it just so they don't make waves,
as opposed to thim thinking it's funny or just to "let their inner actor out"?

I don't know that, and neither do you.

But what we do know is, there are a lot of black male entertainers who have dressed in drag on screen.

irvin is comfortable in his skin thats why he did it.

The episode, titled “Dancing in the End Zone,” features a story in which Troy is forced to take a ballet class in order to improve his footwork on the football field.

As he begins to understandably feel emasculated and embarrassed at having to take a ballet class, the great Michael Irvin himself appears to the boy in a dream and shows him that even former pro football players can get behind ballet.

irvin just trying to help the kid out in the show. and hakeem olajuwon took ballet to work on his footwork.

and let me ask you question how do you feel when black women are dressed like men? is their a bigger issue there?
All fair points, but Irvin didn't have to wear pink, or put on a tutu. He could've worn black tights and some shorts over them. Nickelodeon dropped the ball on this one, I didn't watch the episode, but I read the link and it's still disturbing. Why couldn't the boy take ballroom dance classes in order to correct his footwork? It's just an overused cliche with the masculine male being broken down and accepting and participating in something considered to be more feminine and "cultured" Hip hop dance uses more lateral, quick movements that would help a football player with his footwork. But I digress.

In terms of women dressing like men, I have no valid opinion other than it looks stupid, my issue is with Black women feeling as though they have to act like men and be ultra aggressive and mannish acting after they've had a few kids but no husband. That's why you see a lot of women in their 30's and 40's on facebook talking about the joys of being single, when really they want a man.

Michael Irvin being a closeted gay doesn't really bother me , what him and Troy Aikman do behind closed doors is their business.

If there should be a ten page thread about anything to do with him, it should be about him being the worst "analyst" in the history of sports. He shouldn't be on TV and its embarrassing to watch. He acts and talks like an autistic person on blow. Its a shame he's paid for ruining the NFL network shows he's on.
