So what you are saying is I can't obtain knowledge and/or perspectives from pundits and their guests, to help inform and develop my own opinions?

I'm just gone let you think about what you just typed.....

Do you consume any neutral sources like NPR, Reuters, or the Associated Press to obtain knowledge and/or perspectives to help inform and develop your opinions?

Or are all your news sources decidedly anti-mainstream?

I consume or have consumed all that, but the "anti-mainstream" pundits already cites these sources and stories in a lot of cases.

If the pundits you listen to cite mainstream media, how is it, then, that they're telling you that the mainstream media is lying to you? Wouldn't they by lying to you too, for that matter? :bpgucci:

That being said, why do these pundits always come to wildly different conclusions than the sources they cite? What makes their version of stories more accurate than actual journalists and reporters who have college degrees in journalism, political science, or any other specialty field?

And please, put forth effort to address everything above that ends in a question mark. There are four questions there.

dude is going to reply to your post with ten paragraphs, some with unnecessary bolding, or underlined, or randomly UPPERCASE, or just a random ORANGE or RED, or some off topic link, but rambling on and on about some nonsense nonetheless...

On my lunch break, I'll provide MY responses.

I await your response. Just to make it easy for you, let me lay out my questions in bullet form:

  • How is it that pundits have convinced you that mainstream media is lying to you, if they cite mainstream media themselves?
  • Wouldn't that make them liars by proxy?
  • Why do these pundits always come to wildly different conclusions than the sources they cite?
  • What authority do they have that makes them more accurate than actual journalists who have college degrees in journalism, political science, or any other specialty field?
And I'll add one more related question:
  • If a pundit gets something wrong (either large or small), is it worth re-examining the mainstream version of events to see if the facts are consistent?

Your last post in this thread before today:

That was a long-ass lunch break. :mjlol:

Where did you answer my questions, clown? :stopitslime:

Not my fault you can't take long lunch breaks like me Fat Panther :yeshrug:

  • How is it that pundits have convinced you that mainstream media is lying to you, if they cite mainstream media themselves?
  • -News is the news. DOESN'T mean the news doesn't have nuances and aspects that are underrwported, disinformation, or misinformation.
  • Wouldn't that make them liars by proxy?
  • -See above.
  • Why do these pundits always come to wildly different conclusions than the sources they cite?
  • -I listen to all types of pundits. Sometimes they agree 100%. Sometimes 50%. Sometimes 0%.
  • What authority do they have that makes them more accurate than actual journalists who have college degrees in journalism, political science, or any other specialty field?
  • -Some of the pundits I listen to have all those "credentials". Some don't. There is no authority that makes a professional journalist more important than you or me. If I want to write about the traffic in my area or the city council meeting , then provide my assessment then I am a citizen journalist, and more importantly protected by the 1st Amendment. There are facts. There are angles on the facts. There are blatant lies. There are angles on the lies. There is money being paid to either dig deeper or back off. Whose paying CNN during the commercial segments? Now you know what negative stories CNN will not make.
And I'll add one more related question:
  • If a pundit gets something wrong (either large or small), is it worth re-examining the mainstream version of events to see if the facts are consistent?
  • -Personally as I say I don't agree with anyone 100%. Some of the pundits I listen to will correct something wrong. Some will not.
