what was your journey like
With all the amazons being built in cali we can't keep up with the work. So we are in a period where we are constantly promoting. Used to take years to become a delivery driver but now it's happening in two yrs, because of all the work amazon is giving us. I'm a local driver so I'm home every night.

1100-1500 a week is not really bank. I'm at a entry level job right now and get 2500 every two weeks and that still isn't really enough for me to live comfortably. I pay 1400 in rent right now and i cant see myself being stuck at 4-5k a month forever. A dude i know who works in my field told me he makes 9k+ a month. Your better off going to school there's a lot of expenses on the road and truck driving ain't good for your long term health.
1250 x 52 is 65k a year
Only on the coli is that not a comfortable
1400 a month in rent nikka :hhh:

Do you know anyone who went straight to delivery without connections? How long did it take to jump from delivery to freight?

It's possible but rare. UPS Freight is a completely different company than UPS package. Freight deals with the big heavy items. But it took 10yrs in delivery to jump to driving the big rigs. Right now it's even shorter because of all the volume we are getting. Might be 5yrs now.

When you say big rigs you're referring to trailers right? I just assumed that trailers were all freight.

Yea but ups freight is a different company. I take trailers back n forth to amazon and other businesses that deal with normal sized packages. Freight deals with house heavy stuff that needs forklifts
