fukk this idea and the whole “world citizen” concept. Borders aren't just abstract notions; neither are loyalties.

That's not what this is about.

It's not "citizens of the world, we open our borders to you all" or whatever :mjlol:. It's all the H1B visa dual-intent heads being able to vote in the locality they live and work in. Researchers at Columbia, Students at NYU, and all sorts of other people who come in and help this city both directly and indirectly. They're a part of OUR community, so they get to vote on who reps our community. This doesn't impact federal voting. They're voting locally where they are living, which is why I keep stressing "legal permanent residents."

They did something similar in San Fran. No one who’s ADOS should be cool with this.
