Really liked this, very effective in creating tension, and dread, and an overwhelming sense of empathy for the Somali's, as you know how it's going to go in the end. Despite some shaky acting from the ships crew, and the sequences towards the end drag a bit, I thought this was one of the better movies of the year, not a top 5, but in the end of a top 10. Muse was a great character, the scenes of him 'This coward is the first in the grave', to the pirates in the skiffs going at the boat were among my favorite scenes....Paul Greengrass has a lot more to say then the typical Hollywood/USA action movie, and the shattering nature of the violence and blood at the end is a reflection of that, it left me with a lump in my throat, as it all unfolded in it's tragic trajectory. I was left with a lump in my throat, and I hope most viewers didn't leave cheering the US government and the SEALS, because the movie's message was much stronger then a rescue mission and a victory la.
