they shoulda used safe black actors that everyone knows so that they can associate this work with fiction rather than thinking its some accurate historical portrayal

I'm with Swagnificent on this one, if the reasons for Somali piracy isn't discussed in depth then there's clearly an agenda. If done objectively, concisely, and by the books this can be an exceptional movie but I highly doubt that'll happen. What a way for us to begin our next drone campaign in Somalia. Tom Hanks is playing the ship captain. Why not Zel? Its not like Hollywood cares anything about accuracy when it comes to depicting events. They just don't want to audience to identify with the pirates. Its better for the racist psyche to see faceless black men doing crimes.
