the slim looks far nicer than I expected :ehh:

the plastic horizontal stand pieces look cheap tho…granted you don’t really see it once you set the PS5 down

They do deserve credit for allowing the disc drive to be reusable. It's not a one time pairing.


That guy registered a disc drive with one PS5 then pulled it and registered it with another PS5 and it worked with the new one. He then put it back in the previous PS5 and it actually still worked.

idk if this has to do with an earlier post of mine but I said it was a one-time thing in the sense that you only have to pair it once when you use it with your console (under the assumption you’re not gonna swap it with another console)…bcuz someone was trying to convince me you always needed constant internet connection for the drive to pair/work

If you pull a drive from a PS5 original right now and put it into another PS5 it won’t work. Here you can swap a drive in and it will. It was about that.

Because they could have made it a one time pair and been done with it. Plenty of hardware manufactures do things where you can but authentic parts and the hardware won't let you swap them.
So they deserve credit for doing the right thing and not being greedy?
