went on a road trip to Denver and had to pass through new mexico - stopped by this old native american school that was abandoned and took a photo outside of it - which then became my previous album cover from 2014

One of the few red cities in America I believe. I think Tulsa is also anred city.

But OK gets a bad rep here because of the memories of Black Wall Street.

The metro area might be red but I think OKC itself is blue leaning. At least the core areas of the city

That's understandable but New York City had terrible things like that also.

we went on a road trip last year and we decided to skip Albuquerque cause of the hearsay

crazy to think that little city get down like that sometimes

I was stationed out there in Albuquerque for a few years, and I loved it. It was so easy to pull hoes downtown, food was good, Central was always cracking on the weekend, although last time I visited a couple years ago it was dead af.

I'd honestly would live there, its chill for the most part. But homie ain't lying about how ratchet it is too, my first week there saw a nikka dead in the street, I had got my car shot at just for honking at a nikka crossing the street.

The Mayor actually banned Cops from filming in Albuquerque because the city was on there so much

Na i wouldn’t compare any cities urban black demolition to that of Black Wall Street.

Black Wall Street was literally a white mob that destroyed a whole black town. Murdering black folks and burning down businesses.

The Harlem Renesaaince which is our black Wall Street went though systematic demolition (government putting drugs in the hood creating crime and black people fleeing Harlem and then gentrification)

Even the gentrified Harlem today is still more “black excellence” than Tulsa.

I think one of the coli brothers created a thread a while back showing the location of black Wall Street today and the area only has 2 black businesses which I think were both churches.

Don’t know why this thread was 1 starred. You hardly ever hear about this state which is crazy because it’s close to CO and TX but you hear more from AZ

I’m planning a cross country trip and I’ll be driving through look forward to the scenery.
Well, don’t go along I-10. Not much scenery along that route, unless you like shrub and the random dust tornadoes that pop up in the desert. A bunch of I’d assume meth towns as well.

I didn’t do a cross country, but I did go from Houston to Los Angeles. Wasn’t much scenery in TX, NM, AZ, or Cali at all. I heard North New Mexico is beautiful.

I had shyt like the draft riots in mind, and even in the 80s there were still racist Italians chasing black people
