There are quite a few Native Americans left, which is not a thing in most states. If you've ever wanted to bag a Navajo shorty, that's one of the few places you can do it

The state is pretty poor to my knowledge and does not do well by most measures.

Apparently there's a New Mexican cuisine that's pretty good

These flyover states are still vERY important to the country though, because a lot of food is produced there

Yeah I spent time there for work. I felt like Dave Chappelle when he was talking about Native Americans. They were everywhere.

There might have been American Indian influence but I think it's really more similar to North Mexican food. But with a local twist, such as the chilies they use.

Yeah it's called New Mex food. Heavily green chile based. Very good

Speaking of ghost towns New Mexico, Nevada and all those desert places sound like they have lots of those.

I know PA has a weird ghost town area as well.

Supposedly, you're not a true son of New Mexico if you haven't been to White Sands or Carlsbad Caverns, I've been to neither, except for three years in London, I've been in Atlanta most of my life, been begging my mom for decades to go back...

I haven't been back since a family reunion in 1991.

I remember when I first got stationed there, my coworker was like "welcome....to the place where dreams come to die". I thought dude was being funny but I know a lot of people who just get stuck there. shyt I almost didn't make it out myself. I got orders to go to eglin and I packed my suburban up and left as quick as i could. Got about 20 minutes outside the city and.....I had a blow out. That was on a sunday. I was thinking, fukk this place got a curse and aint never gonna let me go.

How do you know if a thread is 1 started? I guess since it isn’t any of the “popular” cities nobody felt interested but we def need to have new topics on these forums.

This thread actually makes me want to rent a car and do the 30 hour drive to try some Native American dishes there.

I was stationed in ABQ for a while. One of the most racist places I've ever been. Barely any nikkas around and the messicans and cacs try to get bold on you since it's a lot of em. Trash ass green chillies in everything they eat. Trash ass weather. All of it is trash

And no it's not cheap. I stayed in Rio rancho and it was expensive. Breaking bad had the new mexico vibe down perfectly. Drugs, trash people, trash night life

I go several times a year there. The rest of my wife family over there scattered. I usually go rio Rancho tho since her uncle always throwing huge parties at his house there.

Thought balloon festival was trash too
