Boys need to chill on the anime slander. Madhouse and Bones are the best animated art studios in the world period. I have no problem with the art style of these DC movies they look better than ever but I would like to see something like Kingdom Come done in an animated style like the way Alex Ross draws. shyt would be

for one, he art style isnt "anime" its just animated by asians. anime is typicaly identified with big ass eyes, round ass heads, not the much musculature when it comes to character silhouettes, and extreme expressions. breh cited SF the animated jawn, when the artist who did that was heavily influenced by americans. all the characters proportions are based on comic book ideal proportions. yes, the heads are small...DIRECT opposite of anime style. 
these jawns are animated 10x better than any of that 90's shyt.

its the same art team that did flashpoint. the designs in flashpoitn were a little 'edgier' due to them wanting to show that it was an alternative timeline.

Different continuity from the cartoons breh. This is based on the new 52 continuity where Cyborg is a member of the league. The cartoon is based on years and years of comic arcs, reinterpreted for that time with the writers taking their own creative liberties. Using John was one of those liberties
