Has nothing to do with that. Just cited those as an example.

I just don't prefer the anime inspired art style. :manny:

It's just not how I envision the characters. I think it's the eyes.
I really don't know what you're seeing. Animation is pretty close to the New 52 comics.

So when you say it's not what you envision, and you think it's the eyes...when i think of Japanese animation style, especially the eyes, i think of:

reminds me of this

There's definitely an influence there. The eyes, the eyebrows, the jawline... it's all similar. It's just not how I ever envisioned DC and Marvel characters because I'm so used to seeing them drawn by American artists.

Like that picture above TOTALLY doesn't look like Superman to me. It looks like Superman if he were in an anime. It doesn't capture the character for me.

But I mean if you don't have that same problem... :manny:.... nothin I could do. Could only speak for me.

Give me brawny square jawed superheroes over that anime crap and leave that jap shyt for jap shows. :camby:
Using the 90s Marvel art/animation is so not a good look. That is some rough and ragged looking artwork right there man.
Give me clean lines and anime reminiscent animation styles all day compared to that stuff.

It was done on a budget. Yea the animation was subpar but the ART STYLE was modeled after the comics.

We're now seeing an entire generation raised on japanese anime so I guess for a lot of younger fans it doesn't bother them as much and they're just more accustomed to it but for me personally I would prefer if these animated films drew inspiration from american artwork and not the anime shyt.

Even the DC animated shows from the 90's were unique in their own way but were distinctly american looking at the same time.

Thats the thing with the Japanese inspired animation, it all starts to blend as the art style looks so similar across the boards.........not saying its a bad thing

At this point I don't even know why anyone take your opinion on anything D.C. related seriously
