Dope, fun summer movie. :whew:

Left the movie wanting an Asian girlfriend. :shaq:

She was so submissive :lupe:

But on the real why did they resort to hand to hand combat with these giant monsters when they had those guns? And when they used the guns they went for body shots :dahell: Why not blow the thing's brains out :dwillhuh:

"Idrissa Akuna "Idris" Elba is a British actor..."

I was sitting there thinking :ohhh: at how versatile and talented he was to put on such a good British accent but he actually is British and has been speaking in an American accent this whole time this man is amazing. :wow:

It was a throw back to the old "man in a monster suit" movies like Godzilla, where it would be Godzilla vs Mothra/Biollante/whatever and they'd be tossing each other around like wrestlers. People see robots and automatically think "Evangelion" or some kinda anime, that's not what this movie was modeled after.

I was thinking the same about the sword. Why not start with that instead of just throwing punches.

Either way, movie was dope. Charlie Day as a scientist had me cracking up

In the beginning they explained that the blood from the monsters was poisonous or something, so using rockets would probably get that shyt everywhere and contaminate the land.

I bet the sequel falls through. Unless he gets major funding, ain't no way WB funding it again considering it's Week 3 and the movie still has yet to surpass its budget.

Finally saw it...
Well I enjoyed it as the action movie that it is (incredible FX above all in 3D, good rhythm, tense fights) but that's where it stops.
- Some lines were cheesy as hell like "Beckett ! You wanna die here ?! Or you wanna die fighting !" :comeon:
- The jap girl was ridiculously too japanese with that respect bullshyt :comeon:
- The love story between jap girl and the american hero was so bad :comeon:
- The ennemy bro who finally becomes a friend bro at the end for the greater good :comeon:
- The sacrifices for planet earth :comeon:
- The happy end :comeon:
- The two scientists were ridiculous, I didn't find em funny at all :comeon:
I'm disappointed by Del Toro because I was thiking the movie would have had more depth but that still remains a good action flick.
