If Wright cares about winning, he will leave this shyt organization that he has given blood, sweat, and tears for and go to a winner.

I won't even fault him for it either....he been here long enough and there is no end in sight for this mess.

To be honest I'm to the point I hope Wright walks, he deserves better than this organization. The guy plays his ass off, never gets in trouble, always deals with the media, and puts in great numbers every year (minus the city canyon years). What does he get in return ? One of the worst supporting casts in the game, a ballpark that was designed to neutralize his strengths, and an owner that doesn't respect him and bad mouths him to the media (nice kid but not a star). I hope he walks and tells everyone what scum the Wilpon's are.

The Mets didn't make the playoffs from 88 to 99 and made it back in 00 and 06...with two huge collapses since

The Royals don't play in the same city as the NY Yankees, nor do they have to live with, work with, walk with NY Yankees fans and see nothing but success of the team that owns the city while the Mets play little brother.

The Royals also don't play in NY with access to the type of media scutiny nor do they have the same high payrolls and disgusting contracts over the years.

The Royals are small market...they can use that excuse forever.

The Mets are NY, the largest market, largest media market, and play in the same city as the most successful franchise in the history of team sports...bottom line, that's a HUGE difference.

The Mets had a minor spurt of success in 05 and & 06 and after that two historic choke jobs followed by losing seasons. Before 05 they were one of the worst teams in Baseball. If it wasn't for the end of the decade in the 90's the Mets arguably would have been the worst team of the 90's. The Mets basically have the mid to late 80's. Granted the Mets have been more successful than the Royals but lets not act like the Mets have had any sustained success. Now lets get to the other reasons Mets fans whine that Royals fans don't have to deal with.

Lets not forget the embarrassment off the field from ownership saying stupid shyt. Our former GM also accused Mets beat writer Adam Rubin of lobbying for his job. And our former VP of player development, Tony Bernazard, would take his shirt off and challenge kids in the minors to fist fights ? Don't think that has happened to the Royals....or any team in Baseball.

i'm not implying that HE's the problem, i'm saying it's an organization problem.
