Wright is just 45 hits away from breaking the all time Mets record. Hopefully, he stays healthy cause I would like to see an actual good player have that record.

This sucks, I miss liking Baseball

This is the worst part, theyve definitely made me like baseball a little less over the years. I'm not a kid anymore, I can't be optimistic about the sport when I know this same old shyt will happen. We had a fukkin no hitter and I've already forgotten it

It's not just the horrible play and the choke jobs it's embarrassment off the field. The crappy minor league system, yeah we have Harvey and Wheeler but we have zero bats. And the fact that teams like Rangers and Dodgers were in similar situations, MLB forced their owners out, and new ownership came in and seemingly overnight turned those franchises around. Instead we're stuck with the Wilpons. I go into the MLB thread and I have no idea what anyones talking about because the Mutts have sucked all my urge away to watch any Baseball. fukk this team.

2006 was 6 fukkin years ago. shyt, our last collapse was 4 years ago. Tell me this hasn't just felt like one long contunuation of one season since then. Guys have come and gone, players, managers, GMs, and it still feels the same.

I can say that at least I like Terry. He's not a great in game manager, but i like the guy. Willie was overrated from the jump, and Jerry was a god damn fool.

we're not that close. team is full of holes.

Sign 2 of any of the following outfielders:
BJ Upton; Swisher, Cody Ross, or Melky Cabrera.

and
Get Kelly Stoppach; Chris Iannetta, or Russell Martin to platoon w/ Thole.

and
obviously improve the bullpen, probably by trading Pelfrey for some relievers.

All of the following moves I suggested, would cost the Mets a maximum of 25 million. Santana and Bay's contracts come off the books after 2013, so even w/ the extra 25 mil next year, our payroll would be under 93 mil(which our payroll is 93 mil right now) in 2014. Those moves would instantly transform this team into a 86 win team, maybe a 94 win team pending on health.

Yeah lot of holes

See post above, plus we have 3 starters that we can count on(Niese; dikkey, Gee), while Harvey and Santana will be in the rotation. Pelfrey despite the criticism, is a competent innings eater, and would benefit our team through his production for us OR what he could net us in the open market. Hefner is a decent spot starter reliever. Our rotation isn't the problem, but I guess we can a sign cheap starter, since you can never have too much pitching.

You know what bothers about all this, are we going to be any better next season?

We might as well completely tank it and at least get the #1 pick.

What's the point of getting the first pick, Sandy will draft the cheaper choice instead of the higher ceiling.

There's no way around it
We need a whole new outfield and bullpen

But that's not what we need

We need a regime change..we're not gonna win with the Wilpons in charge..

Look at the nationals lineup and pitching staff
money ball is a cool.story until reality sets in.
