Wright will end up exactly like Reyes. They could get a load for him but they will keep him next year in a desperate attempt to get an extra 34 people to show up next season. Some other team will come and woo him as soon as other teams can talk to him. The Mets will sit on their hands and when the other teams offers him an awesome contract. The Mets will then go and offer him a joke contract if that much but some how will manage to make Wright look like the bad guy. And at his first game back at shytty field the fukking morons that still go to shytty field will boo Wright.

Selig's deal is done after 2014, he's 78, and his relationship w/ the Wilpon's is probably why the Wilpon's haven't been forced to sell yet.

On a serious note, we might trade dikkey in the off-season.

R.A. dikkey's future with the organization is not entirely secure, a team source acknowledged. The Mets have a $5 million option on the knuckleballer for 2013, but he will be seeking a big extension this winter.

The writing is already on the wall for turning Wright into the bad guy. You have the beat writers reporting Mets sources are optimistic they will get something done with Wright. But it's the usual anonymous source. They put that out there to make it seem like they want him back. Wright will continue saying the same thing Reyes did and that's how he wants to stay here. They really won't talk in the off season. Regular season will hit and Wright won't want to talk. The Mets will continue saying they feel good something can get done but won't do anything. Off season will hit and several other teams will woo Wright and the Mets won't do anything and Wright will sign elsewhere. But by throwing out there they were optimistic they could keep Wright it will sink into fans minds that they actually tried and Wright had no intention of staying here when that's the furthest thing from the truth.

BTW IMO the smart Baseball move would be to move Wright and dikkey this off season and get some bats into the system.

The Mets have no damn plan, it's to simply to get us to buy Shake Shack burgers til July, while not doing anything to improve the team short term or long term.

The messed up thing is that since Bud is such great friends w/ Fred, that we won't see new owners at least til '15 the earliest(when Bud's deal is up). So brace yourselves guys, because it's only going to get worse. Ike gets traded to Boston, only to hit 50 HRs at Fenway, while Wright signs w/ the Yankees or Phillies next year. While they try to convince us that Wheeler and Harvey are the reincarnation of Seaver and Koosman, only for both of those guys to flame out or become mediocre pitchers.

Its too early to kill the gm yet and say he has no plan,he walked into a shytshow where he was gonna be hamstrung on mkaing moves or signings till next offseason with the bad contracts he inherited

What he does this and next offseason will detrmine his plan and if he has won and what he does with all the freed up money and with Wright/Ike/Ra etc

If u want to play that game when u made the playoffs in 2006 you made it 3 in 7 years at that point which is pretty good with a world series appereance and while you didnt make it in 07 or 08 u were in it till the final day of the season
