Sexyy Red originally came up organically online which got the industry's attention. Then they put a machine behind her. She's signed to Gamma, with ties to Apple Music. Drake's business ties with Apple Music and the new Gamma are well-established.
4Batz is another artist Drake has been pushing that didn't even have an early organic phase. The machine birthed him.
Drake doesn't mess with hip hop websites and radio anymore but he appeared on a total outsider and newcomer Bobbi Althoff's podcast because they're both signed to WME-IMG (now Endeavor), the world's largest talent agency. All of Bobbi's immediate guests after him were also Endeavor clients.
