Yeah Because Ginyu is shyt.. and try to stay close by Gohan and krillin. Sometimes they end up disappearing in one of the rooms. Follow them. And when Guldo comes. Focus on beating him asap
I'm not feeling these fighting mechanics and the defense on here is trash. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong but I'm at the second Time Patrol mission with the Saibamen and they keep blasting my back with ki blasts and I can't just turn around and block it or evade them. it's stupid 
I miss my meteor dash moves and shyt. shyt is so contrived when your fighting multiple players at once.
So far Budakai Tenkaichi > this shyt as far as fighting mechanics go.
You can't even power up energy and shyt.

You can power up. There's 3 power up moves that unlock once you advanced further in the story.
Energy charge
Full energy charge
Max energy charge
Use teleport to anticipate attacks (double tap x if I remember correctly), it takes two stamina bars to do it from an offense stance but if your blocking and do it it only takes one.
Also, I'f you block at the right time, as your opponent attacks you can guard break and stun them.
You can also just side step ki blasts,you don't have to teleport. Just press x and direction.
You can sway regular ki blasts by flying into them (not the turbo flying but regular flying).

Been busy studying for finals so I haven't had much time to play but overall I'm enjoying what I have played.
It's definitely different than Raging Blast 2, which was the last DBZ game I owned. It's not really as much of a fighter, but still enjoyable in its own right.
My only major gripes would be lack of a practice mode, lack of difficulty settings, and no option to disable the time limit in offline matches.
Yeah, I know this is more of an MMO and that the CPU levels with you, but I'm never going to condone removing options and choice.
I really enjoy the graphics. Feel like you're actually watching the show.
I only wish the battlegrounds were more destructible. I don't think any DBZ game has ever replicated the carnage these cats wrought on the environment.
I'm not asking to destroy planets but a 3 vs 3 fight in the city should end with the player surrounded by fire, rubble & ash.
I know we have constraints because of framerates and all, but I'm really looking forward to seeing if they push these new consoles to their limits. Perhaps it would have been possible for more devastation if it wasn't cross gen.
Regardless, I don't feel bad for buying this at full price. Now that I'm getting the hang of combat, it's really opening up.

Cool but when they are rapid blasting you with ki blasts from behind my dude gets stunned and won't move at all and just gets blasted in his back. I'll just keep practicing and get better. Not gonna wrote it completely off. Just gonna take some time to get used to the controls

For the most part, stamina management is essential. I say this with a female sayian whose class has low stamina off the top.
I can brawl now that I've improved considerably but I'm still methodical because you don't want to get caught in a combo with no stamina. You can't evade without it.
Timing the block button (L1 on PS4) with your opponents strike will leave them wide open for a combo.
It takes practice and I still haven't mastered that aspect. There's a skill called Afterimage that you can set as one of your moves.
It uses ki instead of stamina and is sort of a get out of jail free card but you still have to semi-time it correctly.
