Its sad what the Coliseum has become :wtf: I dont think dudes even know what the word c00n is anymore? :mindblown:

Explain how disparaging black people for white viewers entertainment while offering no solutions for said black people is not c00nish. What other racial groups have members of their own race disparage them in public like SAS was doing. It is fukking shameful.

know whats funny?

folks that claim they hate espn, they dont watch espn, but still find time to complain about the opinion of this 1 man. like his opinion affecting your day just that much

maybe ESPN should put up an opinion disclaimer before the show or something

He still walked away from 50 M's. Show me 1 nikka besides him that would do that. It'll never be done again, nikkas put on dresses for less than that and they didn't want to. If he was money driven he would've took that shyt even if he didn't want to do the show. I bet them cacs were astounded he didn't buck for the money.
i cant speak for dude, but i think also a big part of it was that celebrity got to be too much

ever see that standup where hes talkin about people comin up to him all the time like 'hey im rick james bytch' i cant even imagine goin out and knowin that everyone knows who u are like that

Exactly. There's no end game to it. I actually got into it with a writer for Salon.com that wrote something in there saying it was a " wake up call for black men."

I had to tell her this:

I'm sorry, but ESPN isn't the conduit to prescribe solutions for what ills the black community and most people who cheerlead behind these "I'm writing on black problems for a white audience" writers or tv personalities are just as I'll informed as the people they're riding for.

You can't use pop culture to solve issues of culture

Ehh I honestly think he had no real interest in continuing the show much longer, he could have retained creative control if really wanted to the ball was in his court, worst case he could have jumped ship.

It had nothing to do with that breh... it was the nature of many of the sketches and how they dealt with race. Spawned some "Hey Dave, make some more ****** jokes that white people can laugh at" behavior.

seeing white folks walking around mimicking the Clayton Bigsby sketch was just fukking awful.

Dave made the most real nikka move in TV history by turning that $50 Million down....

What's the difference? He's still doing it for white people's entertainment. As I said in my post before, it seems like only black people have their own people criticize/disparage their people and culture in public.

It's beyond annoying. Worst of all is all these "I watched the Wire" ass negros who probably had limited ass interactions with the black community doing most of the talking of what solves the issues there.

shyt is just all around tired. StephenA Smith pretending to be a gatekeeper to what should be done is just run of the mill shyt many of these blacks in tv ascribe to.

If its criticism, and its warranted, how is it c00ning......

I'm not all for airing our dirty laundry out in public by any stretch, but if its just criticism sometimes you just gotta take it......

Don't know if Stephen A was delivering fair criticism or not, but I believe the word c00n gets thrown around too loosely......Its starting to become a term used to divide us if we have slight different opinions concerning black topics when instead, we should be open to all types of dialogue and go from there.......Behind closed doors would be preferred though

Lol black people have been taking it for how long? What purpose does it serve for him to air it out on espn with a white audience as it's main viewers? Give me a break with we just gotta take it.
