how you posting if ur wifi fukked up? :what:

Packet loss means that some packets aren't making their way to the intended destination and are being dropped along the way for whatever reason, he can still browse the internet but it might be slower and he might get some specific errors. You can still be able to connect and depending on the amount, use the internet quite normally.

Was decent the past few days, and earlier today, but now it's gone to shyt again. I looked into DD-WRT for the router, but it's not stable and it kills the 5GHz band. I'm going to update to the latest firmware and if this doesn't work, I'm contacting ASUS.

This is some bullshyt. :scusthov:

Wait, is the 1st test from the computer and the 2nd from your Xbox browser? Both from Xbox? Both from the computer?

They're both from the computer.

The first 1 one was with my Xbox turned off, the 2nd was the test I got after having turned the Xbox on.

shyt just comes and goes and it's weird as fukk considering this router ran perfectly fine a few weeks ago.

Just got off the phone with ASUS about this router.

Apparently the 2.4GHz radio is malfunctioning in this joint, while the 5GHz radio is working fine. I ran a speedtest on the 5GHz on my phone and got over 20 down, but running a test on the 2.4 radio on my laptop I'm getting .85 and shyt.

The gay shyt is, I have to send in the router and pay or 1 way shipping. They don't even give me a replacement in the interim which is bullshyt (don't you think?). Takes 10 business days or them to repair or send me a refurbished one.

I'm going to probably buy another router. I can't go 10 days without wifi in my house. I heard that and was like...

:rudy:

Give me some recommendations on something that just works with good range. I might return it when this other one gets back or just keep the other one as a repeater. I don't know, but this is some bullshyt. I know that much.

I need a cheap replacement though.

Wireless internet isn't a convenience for me in my home, it's a necessity.

And I'm good, I'm not going to buy the same router, the way this happened was completely random and who knows if it's a common issue with this shyt. And the customer support for getting it replaced is trash.

Buy another dual band router. Use the new router as your main router. Use the 5ghz band on your current router and use it as a client bridge. Put the router next to your ps3/Xbox and hard wire them to it. If the 5ghz band is working correctly you will save a little of the pain of throwing it in the bushes.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do.

Last time I was looking into this, this was the cheapest dual-band router I could find. I see why.

I'd actually use the throw in bushes router as a repeater. No wireless for consoles, fukk you nikkas that do. Laggy fakkits.
