Networking Brehs, Help Me Fix My Damn Wifi

This is my router: ASUS RT-N53
My modem: Motorola Surfboard SB6121

For the past 2 weeks I have experiencing some bullshyt. I don't know what is up, but my connection/signal is perfectly fine. Even the speed tests are decent, I just checked my shyt on the PS3 and it's pulling 16MBbs down. Yet when I go and play Virtua Fighter, I'm getting lag spikes and freezes damn near every match.

Like I said, my signal is fine, but what could be causing this shyt to go in and out like this? It's not an issue for streaming as far as I know. All my stuff comes through crisp. But I can't take this shyt for a fighting game, and it makes no sense to me because since March my shyt has been FINE, no lag, no problems playing shyt online.

Yeah it could be a psn problem. I have a theory that if you turn incoming message notices off that ceratain games will run smoother if youre playing them online.

I'm experiencing the same on Live though. I know something was up with PSN and the game last week, because it was dropping all players off of it's servers, but I'm lagging on Live now too.

I might flash this. I've done it before with a different router that I was trying to use as a repeater. I'll see what's up with it again for this one...

you could have moisture in your router.
put in in

over night to dry it out and see if that helps.
