Debt did get to them, but not until 2008 where they had to declare bankruptcy. they had a seven year gap where they were still walking as the top in video entertainment. What killed them beyond anything else was the market crashing in 2008, but the 7 years before that, I cannot give them a pass. In Hindsight they should have refinanced their debt, and they would have been ok.

Right, they were a terribly run company.

You can already have 5-6 profiles per paid account - those all have to be used under one roof? that’s stupid, you can be sharing with your family yet not everyone lives under one roof at all times (split custody, kids at college, parent works on the road, kid lives with grandma)….either way, if they cut off my parents and brothers, I’m turning the shyt off as they’re the reason I keep it on

Don't Netflix users already pay a premium for the ability to have two people stream different things at the same time on one account even in the SAME household and wifi?

Tbh I actually love this for Netflix and encourage other streaming services to adopt this cutthroat mindset because they are quickly going to learn that people share accounts FOR A REASON and often that "reason" is far from simply being cheap. People do this shyt because THEY'RE fukkING BROKE.

I can't fukking wait for Netflix subscriptions and profits to rapidly decrease over this greedy shyt tbh.
This is going to backfire on all of them actually. If everyone has to pay for every service, you’re either going to get a lot of 1-2 month subscriptions where people binge the 1-5 programs they want to see or people gonna drop all this shyt and go back to cable where they get a ton of content for one price.

Why would someone pay for flix, Disney, Hulu, hbo, paramount, espn and Apple year-round? (Let alone smaller shyt like showtime, starz, peacock, discovery, bet+ for the aunties)

I share it from my parents account, but if they charge them extra i will just stop fukking with it altogether. Already got too many subscriptions.
Between my phone and internet plans i already get free Hulu and HBO max so they not going anywhere.
I order a lot of stuff on Amazon so my prime subscription is also not going any where.

That basically leaves Netflix and Disney plus, and i'd rather have starwars than Red Notice.

Netflix spent half a billion dollars for the rights to Knives Out 2, so they could... make more Knives Out movies i guess? They can suck my fukkin dikk. Hold back on one shytty green screen blockbuster a year when you know people would watch "Diarrhea:The Movie" if you slapped it in your top 5 with no proof, and keep the fukkin subscription prices where and how they are.

Of course they are.

They need to find ways to generate more revenue because they aren't going to grow very much with new subscribers. They've got 220 million and it's not like they're suddenly going to double that shyt in Bangladesh or some other place.
They've nearly peaked in terms of American subs. This shyt is gonna end up being like $40 a month in a few years.
