Netflix 'The Dragon Prince' from the head writer of Avatar The Last Airbender

This is a more amateurish version of Avatar. The animation is horrible but I got over it pretty quick. There's the same camaraderie between characters and the same sense of humor that permeated Avatar. This isn't anywhere near as good as Avatar yet but at 4 episodes in I'd say if you liked that show you'll definitely like this one if you can forgive the animation.

I know somebody else has to be watching this. Viren is such a great antagonist. One of the best I've seen in animation since Scar. Thing is I'm not really feeling he's pure evil just a misguided well intentioned extremist. The more episodes I get into this the better it gets. It's a shame the first season is only 9 episodes.

The latter seasons of Korra didn't do so hot so that's not likely. Nick finished Korra as a courtesy cause the ratings got so bad they pulled it and put it online only back before that was a good move to make on their part.

That's because Korra was a straight rush job. First it as a mini, then it received such a good response that they kept extended it, without knowing where to take it.

Korra did have the best villains in the Avatar world though....and the best endings

It’s pretty good I’m on episode 9 now. My kids like it a lot. It does give off Avatar vibes but the villain isn’t very interesting.
