Am I hearing wrong in episode 8 but since the juror left, Steve had the option of a mistrial or adding an alternate 12th juror to complete the deliberation and he choose the latter. The fukk? :snoop:

He had that option but they would have retried the case anyway and he already had the best lawyers his money could buy... As I said in other posts, his defense team was exceptional. They tore apart the entire case and the State didn't come close to proving anything. Yet, the jury fukked it all up anyway. How the other jurors can allow three stubborn people to just put this man away for life I'll never know. I would have fought those jurors to the death.

Gonna post this here, not sure what to make of it, yet. If these pieces of evidence are truly uncontested by the defense, and just left out of the series, then that's a problem. I'll research more later.

Email correspondence with Ken Kratz, with the undisclosed details that he says were not in the documentary. • /r/MakingaMurderer

I wouldn't take Kratz word for anything considering he lost his license following this case and has an obvious axe to grind. If what is stated here is true then it obviously makes it more believable that Steven committed the crime but most of us aren't even discussing Steven, more so we are discussing Brenden...

In all honesty, the way Steven did that cat makes me feel like dude was a fukking scumbag to begin with. Doesn't negate the stuff done to him by the State. He deserved justice and for a second here and there, he got it. But yeah, Brenden felt like a casualty in all this to me.

Can we get a poll in this thread?

Curious how many of y'all think Steven is innocent?

In my mind there was reasonable doubt but my gut tells me he did it.

There's really no evidence that proves he did it IMO. The picture that the prosecution painted, that torture room shyt didn't happen at all.

I feel like they were out to get him and they got him.

Everything I felt after watching has already been said.
What I just want to add is that Ken Kratz has one of the softest, most bytch made voices EVER
I wanted to punch a hole through my tv every time he made some smug condescending remark.
So glad karma caught up to his bytchass in the end

The reason why a lot of people think he's in the right is because we all put ourselves in the murderers shoes.

Say that moment came, she's dead and she's on his property

two things

1 - He's the most hated man in the police station ATM for getting off free
2- Everyone knows she was visiting his property to take the pictures

so no matter what he was going to get questioned

The dude had IT, he beat the system, was about to get that paper and everyone was on his side just so he can murder a bytch for no reason?

what would you do at that moment?
burn the body up? ok
leave it on your property? HELL NO, WTF? how does that even make sense.
leave the car that everyone's looking for near the entrance not even touched, when you own a car crusher? again make's no sense
leave bullets in the garage, not even cleaning up after yourself knowing they are looking for something like that? again this is clueless
leave the key for the car right there on the floor like it's an old pair of slippers? like no one else is going to see it? no brehs no in a cabinet, not in a drawer(BTW THERE'S A FUKKING CABINET RIGHT THERE), nooooooooooooooooooooooo i'm going to throw the main evidence right there on the floor

It would be like a murderer that wanted to get caught, it was too obvious.

I don't think Steven had a 70 IQ I think that was Brenden but either way the whole family isn't bright. With that said, lets say he is dumb enough to leave bones in the ash and cover the vehicle with sticks and shyt. How then are we supposed to believe that he is sophisticated enough to clean his bedroom and garage and not leave a trace of blood/DNA?

Remember.. the picture the prosecution is painting is that this woman was raped, beaten stabbed, throat slashed and shot in the head. That would be a gruesome murder scene and damn near impossible to clean up without leaving something behind.

I'm not necessarily saying that Steven is innocent but I personally do not think he did it and even if I had suspicion that he was guilty I don't think the prosecution came anywhere near the threshold to where I'd deliver a guilty verdict. That's not even including the bytchmade police who I am 95% sure planted evidence.

Brenden is an even sadder story though because I honestly don't believe for a second that he had anything to do with it.

I don't think he should have been convicted. There's too much externally that makes no sense. The states recollection of what transpired is inane, muddled by collusion, and the defense did an excellent job of establishing reasonable doubt. However, I DO think he killed her, intuitively. I'm about 85% sure he did. The state also planted evidence in order to bolster their case. People keep saying, "Why would he kill her? He had no motive!" Reflect upon your own life: I know most of the really crazy or fukked situations I've found myself in happened after the day began like any other day. I don't think he woke up with the intention of ending her life that particular day, but something went terribly wrong somewhere and he felt like he didn't have a choice. The real context of what happened, we'll never know.
