This Parents episode is killing me. The Dinner scene alone is worth the price of admission. They need to put that one online/ premiere it on a network to garner interest. It's insane how good it is.
It's one of the best sit-com episodes I've ever seen. Was really funny but so moving without it being forced.

This is a great show although the ending sucked.

Man it's definitely some shyt I can relate to when he and his girl talk about going from your 20's to your 30's and every fukking decision or indecision feels like there's so much at stake. I don't know how true it is, and the elders in my life with more wisdom tell me not to stress it and it's a natural feeling at this age, but damn I put so much pressure on myself and especially the last couple eps in the season really hit me a certain way.

:ld:

Maybe too much so. The comedy almost entirely went away the last two eps for me and I started evaluating my entire life and shyt :heh:
I just finished the season and I came in here to say this exact thing. I loved the show but damn, it had me thinking hard about my future and how every decision can impact what happens down the road. That's actually part of the appeal for me in a way. I'm glad it wasn't all jokes.

Just finished the series and honestly wasn't blown away. It was just :ld: to me
It started off cool, but really fizzled out near the end. The sudden life changes by him and his girl were bogus and weak writing points.

I will say the music selections for this show were on point like a mutha fukker. :ohlawd:

The episodes about his Pops, Old People and Hot Ticket were the best.

I feel "Man Seeking Woman" with Jay Baruchel did what this show was trying to do much better.

However, as a black man I do wish we had shows like this from a black man's perspective.

And Aziz/Hollywood ain't slick, they used that Dyke to fill the "black male role" :wtb:
That shyt really became apparent when he asked her about the importance of a BLACK MAN's barber...I'm like really :why:

EDIT: Also is it me or does Netflix make it a point to cast ugly basic ass white hoes for all these series. All the broads in this series are basic as fukk :scusthov:

I enjoyed the series the first ep didn't do much for me but my wife went to visit her parents and I binged the rest of the season over a week.
I really enjoyed the parents ep, Indians on tv and old ppl. Didn't like the bulldyke though.
Didn't like the main love interest and he couldn't have one Indian girl on there? Smh

Just finished it,I loved it.

Show is basically "Louie" but for 20/30 year olds.

It perfectly nails that age group. It also was refreshing being a non white actor and actually tackling some race issues.

Its not a laugh out loud type of show, more of a drama with the comedy just being lifes natural funny moments. So many powerful moments throughout the season that I absolutely could relate to.

hmm I think based on the region of USA it's harder to capture a good overall young black experience .. Well at least in the way Aziz did . Like growing up in NYC as a fan boy of nerd culture ( when it was uncool )yet listening to rap and liking sports and dressing "cool" I.e. Jerseys and Jordan's and getting women or failing at getting women while navigating my 20s may not come across the same as someone in ATL . And I think it'll be ohh he's a c00n why he trying to fukk that white /latina/Asian /Indian chick and not this black chick etc . And from reading posts on here itd be there's not enough black people in that cast ! When my best friends now are a Asian , Spanish and black dude and I bar hop nor club mostly . I feel like black shows need a angle like how blackish ( which I like ) have . You can't just be a show about a guy /girl has to be race as a big factor and not just part of life .
Sandwich shop is called Parm on Mulbury street. I'm going to say there is nothing wack on their menu. Never had a bad or even average sandwich there. The manager slash owner is usually there and he will have the kitchen bring you an appetizer to sample if you at the bar waiting for a table.
The coffee shop is Parlor coffee at
Person of interest in Williamsburg .
It's in the back of the barber shop there. Coffee is good a little on the pricy side. If you ever had Tobeys Estate coffee on 5th avenue , it's on that level.
Hmm I'm going to Parms tonight I been procrastinating but should I get chicken parm or meatball breh and a order of Mozz sticks
