It amazes me to this day people try to justify what 2pac did. I just don’t get it. I can understand when we were kids not understanding. But it’s grown men that are in their mid 30’s & damn near 50 years old that still justified Pac shyt.

He implemented Biggie & Puff in attempt murder publicly that he knew they had nothing to do with it. Don’t matter if Big knew or not. Biggie didn’t shoot u.

I really try to block this out because every time I think about it. shyt makes me hate 2pac when I loved his music just as much as any rapper

Didn't think i'd learn anything new in this doc but man was i wrong! Didn't realize BIG's pops was already married when he knocked up Ms. Wallace, kind of gave me this point of view of whether a wife should forgive her husband for impregnating another woman after the fact the kid turns out to be arguably the GREATEST RAPPER OF ALL TIME. You never know what a kid that is born out of an affair could turn out to be :ohhh:

Also, O's story, you always knew he was the dude mentioned in BIG's credits as well as the song he did for him on LAD. This gave you a detailed insight of who he really was. I also appreciated them interviewing the jazz musician who was kind of in a way like a father figure to BIG. I love how he explained the way BIG learned how to flow based off the rhythm of drums and melodies. That is something you can teach the youth the basics of improving your flow :wow:.

I was shocked that Kim wasn't in this doc especially after the fact that she's squashed the beef with her and Cease. :lupe:

I kind of feel the vibe that Ms Wallace is still p*ssed that BIG was a drug dealer and that she didn't figure it out till after he died as to how much he was moving. Seems like she holds a grudge on that more than the killers :russ:

I was caught off guard that they showed BIG's Grandma, i didn't even know he had one or was alive for that matter :hubie:

This was a real good documentary on a deeper insight on BIG's life. It also makes me wonder how the kid that he made Kim abort would've turned out today :patrice:

I have this deep feeling and always said he probably would've turned out as a great rapper as BIG was as opposed to CJ. Them side chick kids always have the most talent when the pop creeps, one of life's way to troll a cheating father :pachaha:

But does Kim get along with D Roc?

Brought back so many memories of NYC in the 90s. I wish they would have shown more of the studio sessions but maybe they are saving that for a part 2.

I also wish Kim would have come on but she has her reasons.

This might be a perfect time for Puff to drop the original version of Ready to Die. I'm sure he can get the samples cleared now. Would be nice to hear it remastered and cleaned up.

It's a good documentary and I thought it was gonna be the same shyt documentary I've seen it but lucky D-Roc brought unseen behind the screen camera when Biggie was alive. We get a lot of D-Roc interview in this documentary.

We met Biggie's uncle and his grandma, and O (drug dealer). That's fukked up when O got killed by his Uncle. We get to meet a famous Jazz musician when Biggie visit him next neighbor.

Biggie was a cool as fukk and a humble dude. he wants to have fun, chill out, etc. Sadly, Pac had to drag Biggie's death with him over unnecessary bullshyt when Biggie had nothing to do with it.
I like how they showed the reason behind his rhyme pattern n flow its crazy how sum ppl was born to get paid to do wat they love to do one thing i got from this is a blackman saw his gifts and helped him enhance his craft at a very young age we all have that old head in our hood growin up that saw sum in us untaped potential of greatness it seem like nyc chi la had ogs in the hood that still looked out for future phenoms

I like that demo song that Biggie did with the Toto sample.

They played a snippet of that song on another documentary but it was like 3 seconds. This one played much longer. It was called "I loved You" I think and it's officially his first recording. Sh!t was fire and flowed over that "Africa" Toto beat flawlessly even at that young age. Always love that beat which is why I loved NaS's "New World". Also his little video music box verse was dope. Like from the beginning he had it, it was wild. SMH @ some people jumping the gun "You won't know something new from this" before even seeing the movie. Also why is everyone shocked Big's fam is on point with his legacy? It's not Biggie's family fault other rappers don't have documentaries. Anyways as I said in my small review the documentary was WAY more personal than any other Biggie Doc. The Interviews was mostly from his close family and friends. It showed much more about his childhood and upbringing.

Also the raw Droc Camcorder footage was dope and brings you back to the 90's. Pac got a little shine here but mostly for showing them as friends. They touched on Quad and his death but it didn't dominate the doc. This truly was Big's "Origin" Story as the Doc promotes. As people have mentioned, "Olie" or "O" story never has been told in this detail. They even got his old girlfriend to talk about it. Also like many in here, I was floored when I saw Biggie's Grandmother. God Bless Her at 96 years of age. That was dope to hear her insight. Very sad seeing young Tyanna and CJ in the car. Sure there were things we knew like 50 Grand and the Unsigned Hype and Matty C. Loved how they broke down Big's musical influences. But it's cool for the Youth to see this and learn about how the Source had Biggie, DMX, Mobb and Common as Unsigned Hype before they blew up.

Anyways it was a very strong documentary and Yes the Youth will learn more of Biggie they didn't know from this. I was there for the whole thing and I came out feeling like I know Big even more. This wasn't about "Life After Death" Biggie....this was about Pre-Ready to Die Biggie. Though they did show his last week in Cali and the raw footage. After watching this documentary I was bumping all his 92-93 verses. Big's early stuff was just so damn raw. i agree they could of used Lil' Kim on some commentary but Cease did good. Also C Gutta and his other M.A.F.I.A. childhood friends. Premo and Easy Mo Bee talked from a production side because they didn't just produce for Biggie. Premo and Easy actually would go on the corner and hang out with Biggie. It also showed how determine Puffy was to succeed. The Uptown Firing could of really been the end but he had that drive and believed Biggie could be successful. This song "Biggie got the Hype Sh!t" had O on the hook. I believe this was the only song they did together before he was killed. So "O" truly was apart of the origin so that what makes "Miss U" even more personal.

You biggie stans and new yorkers/east coast dikkriders continue to twist shyt and absolve blame from Biggie/puffy. Pac did not blame big for getting shot. His issues with big were on diff manners.

Pac named them nikkas, Vibe changed the names and had to edit shyt, Kevin Powell even mentioned this in a YT video talking about that interview. and this beef only grew no thanks to Biggie's ass doing that hoe shyt with Dogg pound.

Big's lowdown act is what pushed shyt further. But yall gonna do what yall usually do and ignore stuff like this tho:mjlol:

And these issues were? Yet another Pac stan talking about all these "issues" he had with BIG, but can't name them shyts. What were they? And why did they appear, coincidentally, after he got shot? Because as you know, right up until that moment, they was cool. So explain please.

The Dogg Pound trailer shooting? Boy stop. Now you sound silly. That didn't happen until FALL OF 1995. Pac had BEEN started his little tirade against BIG. BIG called the radio station mad because all the shyt had already happened. Pac getting shot, Pac blaming him, Suge calling out Puff at the Source Awards. This nyqqa coming with something that happened way down the line. Get your argument skills up dude.

What you Pac stans hate to admit is that this nyqqa was losing his fukkin mind. BIG wasn't the only dude, and not the only former friend who he turned on. Stretch was his dude. He was the godfather to Stretch's daughter. But when he got his panties in a bunch about BIG, then he got mad at Stretch for still being cool with him. Didn't even show up to his funeral later in '95. That was some fukk boy shyt.:stopitslime:.

Then of course he also turned on Dr. Dre AND Snoop. So everybody was just turning on this lil nyqqa huh?

So tell us...the "blame that we are trying to absolve BIG from". What did he do again that caused Pac to get in his feelings?

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
I thought it was a really good documentary. It was the perfect length too. It still trips me out how young 2pac and Biggie were. I mean, when they died I thought they were old because I was a jit, but obviously I realize now these were some young ass dudes. I won’t get into who was to blame for what, but I will say that while Biggie going back to Cali to do this kinda victory lap thing was incredibly stupid, he was marked for death regardless. If he hadn’t gone to Cali I really don’t think he’d be alive today. It might have been a year later, 3 years later, 6 years, etc, but they were going to get him. Once Tupac was killed Biggie was going to be taken off the board. It was a fait accompli. His fate was sealed.
