Maybe because his daughter (or son) is a child? If I had kids I wouldn't want them watching it regardless of gender.

Not to mention, just because I enjoy something, it doesn't mean I would want my kids participating in it. If I was organized boxing matches it doesn't mean I would want my son to be a boxer. I would prefer he wouldn't be while simultaneously knowing I'm not doing anything wrong.
