2 Chains came through Spelman for Homecoming this year and not a word was said. You know how many rappers done been through there over the years....and they were just as bad as Nelly. I think you raise a fair point, in that raising awareness and money for cancer was certainly of a higher priority than making nelly answer questions about tip drill, and that the women involved should have recognized this...Im with you, but your logic is stupid and messy. On one hand you say the portrayal of women dancing in rap videos only reflects on the participants in the video, and not women as a whole, yet you condemn all "feminists" as "borderline sociopaths" who all somehow prefer that women die of cancer, based on the actions of a few women at spellman. Beyond contradictory.

The Spelman student government (not just the feminist alliance or whatever) saw it as a good opportunity to start a discussion on the issue, since Nelly is a man who cares about the women in his own life, including not showing his own daughter the Tip Drill video, while contributing to stereotypes against other Black women through his career. And it didn't have to be during the event.
